Locked?
Why?
I think if a mod locks or deletes a thread a reason should be given.
Why the ins/outs thread was locked I may never understand, even with an explanation.

The reason is pretty obvious.....
http://www.magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=66677
.........Donny wanted to start his own pre-match thread.

How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

Very much "look at moi".
Not a good enough reason to close a very good topical thread though.

The 'Changes for the Dogs game' thread was locked at the same time as the Pre Match for the Pies v. Dogs was opened - give or take a few seconds.
After the Pre Match topic heading are 3 words - All comments please.
Starting the Pre Match (which I do every Tuesday evening) is "look at moi" ??
Nice piece of projection, B_W.
It's clear who's really saying "look at moi"
* By the way, happy birthday, mate.
Donny.
It's a game. Enjoy it.

I'm also concerned by this. Donny, why not merge the threads, or simply change the title, sticky it and add your own post at the beginning if necessary?
On another note, I feel a little over-moderated myself of late. Between deletions and slightly passive-aggressive comments on certain threads I've started in GD, I'm starting to think I've rubbed someone the wrong way. If this is the case, I apologise and hope we can move on.

Interesting.
I merge threads and get complaints about having to 'trawl through countless pages' to refer to something.
The Pre Match thread's OP contains info about the game - start time, venue, the selected team (added about 6.30 on Thursdays) etc. If I merge, as you suggest, the OP (with this info) would be found somewhere after page 3 or 4.
Perhaps, if I add the link from the 'Changes for the next game' thread, members would be happier. (Done)
It would also help if the 'Changes' thread was started sometime later than shortly after the just completed match, as has been the case, recently, to allow for injury reports, suspensions etc.
David, re. the other sentence, I appreciate your concerns and will PM you.

But you locked "Changes for the Cats game" with no "Pre Match for the Cats" game in sight....?Donny wrote:The 'Changes for the Dogs game' thread was locked at the same time as the Pre Match for the Pies v. Dogs was opened - give or take a few seconds.
