I am over this petulant brat and his domineering fool of a father. Piss him off to Caaaaarlton and he can free up our salary cap bigtime. AND he can continue his career with the Scum, booting heaps and heaps of points. !

I still think Cloke will stay, but if leaves it will not take us 3-4 years to replace him.
Let's really look at what he has achieved in Footy.
In his first season in 2005 he in came in all guns blazing and looked to be the great white hope.
Did nothing in his 2nd season, but many would put this down to 2nd year blues.
Won the Copeland in 07 and definitely came of age.
Did nothing in 08 and 09. I remember playing the final against Adelaide in 08, and he was being used as a defensive forward to try and swell the influence of Nathan Bock. That basically meant that he wasn't good enough to get his own ball.
I also recall him receiving bronx cheers in the 09 prelim as a result of doing bugger all in that season and in that game.
Managed to kick 39 goals in 2010 in a premiership winning team. Took some good marks that year, but practically cost the flag by missing two sitters before half time in the draw.
After 7 years the great white hope finally lived up to the promise. Fantastic season.
2012 - A repeat of years 2008-2009.
So, the player we say we cannot live without has had one A+ plus season, one B+ season (2007) and 6 seasons of C and below.
That tells me that if the great white hope does move to another club, there is no guarantee that he will be the champion that many believe he is or has been. In fact it is much more likely that he will fail, cop abuse from that team's fans and teammates alike. Sound familiar?
I also believe that Reid will be given the opportunity to play as CHF next year, with Keefe to come back and play in defence.
All is not as bad as what it seems.

I'll probably get flamed for this but I just wonder if sending him away for a week or two will do any good? No footy, nothing, just get out of Melbourne, leave your phone, radio, tv and internet at home and clear your mind and soul of any demons. Relax, meditate, do some light training or whatever but just get way out of here. Then let's have another crack. I know we probably shouldn't be singling players for special treatment but this is an extraordinary situation which doesn't look like improving anytime soon and I'd be willing to try just about anything that could potentially benefit all concerned.
Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood.
Not a bad idea, though I was tempted to suggest he'd already been sent to Coventry.frankiboy wrote:I'll probably get flamed for this but I just wonder if sending him away for a week or two will do any good? NOT a bad thought actually Franki, the Emu has a good idea. I mean, we would not miss Cloke now would we, he does nothng atm, so hes hardly missed. Give young Paine a shot, he could do no worse ! Send Clokey down to Aireys Inlet on his own, to surf and fish, and relax. And to meditate in the Otways ranges, in the beautiful fern gullies. Might freshen him right up, could do no harm at all. !frankiboy wrote:I'll probably get flamed for this but I just wonder if sending him away for a week or two will do any good? I think Paine has missed the last 2 VFL games with injury.Piesnchess wrote:Give young Paine a shot, he could do no worse ! Send Clokey down to Aireys Inlet on his own, to surf and fish, and relax. I posted the same on another site, and it seemed to get lost in the "sack this guy, sack that guy, our season is over waaaaahhhh!!!!"frankiboy wrote:I'll probably get flamed for this but I just wonder if sending him away for a week or two will do any good? I think he and Dawes should go away for a week, I think both are dealing with some kind of issue that has really impacted them, even before being asked to do a new role Dawes seemed to be out of confidence and it's gotten worse.
