i remember this being suggested a couple of years ago. i said at the time that if there ever comes a time that we play cloke at chb we may as well give the season away.

somehow we have to get him back to his monstering best. we need to find a strategy or tactics that either stop teams from double-teaming him or we make hay from the extra man this invariably provides us.

Let's all put our views on Cloke's contract saga to one side. I've already posted enough drivel on this subject to give Tolstoy's War and Peace a run for its money!

Love him or loathe him, he is our main power forward and if we are to be successful in the finals we need Travis firing. That is not just an opinion, it is a statement of FACT. So Mr West, I agree with you.

The guy has hijacked a promising season, should have been shown the door no doubt.

Given that they will persist with him, we must find some way to get the best out of him, however that is a very hard task given where his head is at and the protective football he has been playing in order to avoid an injury for his 2013 club.
Protective footy my arse. Must be easy from the cheap seats dipshit. Nevermind where Cloke's head is at, if I was you I'd be careful taking a deep breathe lest you get a mouthful of shite.

That was one of Jerke Pain's finest. Like you play your key forward at CHB (But not Buddy of course...)

OK, this will no doubt confuse plenty of Nicksters, who have read my comments on Cloke. I would have shown him the door weeks ago, but that did not happen and it won't happen now, so close to the finals. So what do we do and how do we win the flag? Given, the club is going to persevere with Cloke, the question is how do we get the best out of him in the finals?

I reckon both Cloke and Dawes are in desperate need of some man love from the coach. Bucks should have them both over to his place for dinner and let them know that he believes in them. He needs to tell them that they each have an opportunity to leave a mark on history. We all know they each are very talented (especially Travis) players, but for a variety of reasons their confidence is shot. From here on, it's all about above the shoulder stuff. Bucks needs to get in their head that he loves them, so that they will bust their guts for him in return.

What happens re contracts etc is now irrelevant. We have a Premiership to win.

There. I hope that makes the Cloke fan club happy.
Rudeboy it hasn't worked so far! I'm sure Bucks has been working on it. Dawes has been trying but just can't clutch the pill, his game against the Swans looked like the beginning but against north it was the end! Travis well there are just no good signs there........ Just seems to be playing for the sake of it and doesn't seem to be bonding with the rest of the team. What I am hoping is that given, last year, they are holding everything back for the finals Cloke or not!

Pretty easy if you run like Trav did against North, I was at the game and made a point of watching if he was doing any gut running

I feel quite excited this is the first time i have ventured onto this thread - it really is a cracking read. Anyway, I was listening to Robbo on 360 last night going on about the fact that the Collingwood supporters now dont care about cloke, and I though that is bullshit. Yep there is a lot of Collingwood supporters who feel that way, but I dont think you can say that for all of us, and then Mick's the ox is slow shit "I think he is 50/50." If anyone doesn't think that Mick doesnt have a new and different agenda now, well, anyway. So all of this is pissing me off, and then i thought, the only thing we the supporters can control, is how we respond to T Cloke. And I think we should get 100% behind him, why not have the banner this week - or next week say "T Cloke Collingwood premiership legend - Awesome - and put up an awesome T Cloke picture ". F... the media, lets inspire the bloke, tell him that we love him. Get behind him, instead of all this slow news day, whiney crap.

Well said...I am 100% behind him as long as he wears B&W (and for any player). We are not Scum or Tiges supporters and jeer our players.

Not sure about the banner, but a big cheer every time he goes near the ball would go a long way.

All players and supporters should have their eyes fixed, and shut out everything else that does not matter.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Here, here. That would be an awesome idea. Even better, have that runthrough in the last round at the G. He plays in the Magpies jumper so I am right behind.

I'm tipping it's too late for this weeks game, but cheersquad take note: Make it happen against Essendon... T.Cloke appreciation round.

One side of the banner his achievements; (Copeland, leading goalkicker, All Aust, Premiership player) the other, Portrait & a suck up phrase for him to be a Collingwood champion...

Is that too much to ask?
