It was locked for a few hours, during tonight's game. No 1984 scenario.

However, further repetitive drivel and off topic posts will be deleted.

Enjoy.
How magnanimous of you.. don't do us any favours Don :P

Someone mentioned (probably in this thread) that Cloke has an undisclosed hip injury and I must say I did notice a couple of times tonight he looked to be in obvious pain after falling heavily on to his hip.

It is sad that we have this thread, how has it come to this? Every time I see him on the park dropping a mark, butching a hand pass, over running the ball, shanking a kick, kicking a point (on the rare occassion he actually gets a shot) I feel absolutely nothing.

I would be satified if we let him go and use the money to buy a ruckman to replace Jolly in 12 months, any available for trade? How about Giles? Maybe Kruezer would like to switch, he was a pies supporter wasn't he?

Well any club playing their power forward with an injury that is causing him to be totally useless ever single week would need to have their coaching staff cleaned right out.

I don't agree, I reckon if would be nothing more than the standard niggles that most of the boys have at the end of the season. Otherwise we would need our bloody heads read.

The whole year Dawes' shitness was being excused by hand injury from last year or his eye surgery and now its Cloke's turn.

You lot are a funny bunch but I'm not laughing.

Well I am going to put this to Ed on Thursday. I am going to the Bob Rose lecture and Ed is giving it this year. I am sure Ed will be most interested to hear that Paul Connors, who is meant to be helping David Cloke in the contract negotiations, is bleeting to his brother that Cloke has gone to Carlton and that his brother knows some git, who comes on Nicks and says this to be the case. Trust me, Ed will tell me if this is the case and that they have known this for weeks. He will also be most pleased to test this theory with Paul. So if this is your source, expect a call, oh say by Thursday evening, correcting you.
Yes you are absolutely right.. as if Ed is gonna take some internet loon seriously..

who turns up to the Bob Rose lecture whining about a rumour from some internet site
No actually, you are wrong. But I am not going to bore you with the details because you always find the darker side of a topic or use criticism or sarcasm as lower forms of wit in attacking people and posters personally to get your message across. Point in question, your above statement.

Unlike some people in here who seem to feel social media is just non involved fan banter, there are actually many people on Nicks BB who have quite legitimate access to people at the club or are themselves actively involved in a variety of associated aspects or projects. Just because they don't repeat or broadcast confidential information constantly, doesn't mean they don't know what is going on. Personally, I am sick of reading unsubstantiated BS in threads like this, just because people wish to take the spotlight or make up something that sounds credible and possible but in actual fact is a lie. And where people like you fail, is because you hide behind the cloak of anonimity. Clearly giving air to those who post without identifying who they are, citing inside knowledge, is a waste of time.

So feel free to cease your insults or incorrect innuendo, anytime in the near future will do. You really do bring out the worst in people, don't you.

Finally, I can positively guarantee you Ed and the board are sweating far greater priorities at the moment than whether Travis Cloke will sign. But people like you are so pre-occupied with the media hype of this non story, that you don't even see any of the bigger picture items....

I hope Ed's not trying another "succession plan" big thing. That worked out just peachy didn't it?

That's just his market value falling.

Apparently the symptoms are sharp, intense pain in the hip pocket region.

Well said Annewilo. I am sick of the stupid, ill founded rumours on here. Like Annewilo I give my free time to the Club I love and I don't come on here and make up crap or spill the beans on stuff that would harm us. I wonder whose side these rumour makers are on. They'd actually rather try to make a name for themselves by starting threads on crap rumours than support our team. It's very ugly.

interesting times ahead for the club and cloke from here on in. a lot of rumour and innuendo up until now and obviously none of us know for sure what is really happening unless of course some of us are people with inside knowledge. i personally believe it's sad that it's come to this. i would like to think that cloke would be prepared to make sacrifices to remain at the club like his fellow teammates have but to me it doesn't seem that way. he is in horrible form and his huge demands for a big money contract over 5 years doesn't reflect that. if anything, his asking price diminishes by the week with each poor performance. he's not reading the play well, not taking marks like we're used to seeing, not kicking goals etc etc. i personally believe that he will leave but that's just my opinion, all signs seems to indicate that he will. even if he stays, how can we realistically accomodate his huge wage demands without making further sacrifices i.e potentially losing a talented youngster and, how will we - as supporters - treat him? will we pretend that nothing has changed and that all is forgiven? i hope that cloke can find some form and fast because we need him firing come finals time like he has in years gone by.

I think you're right; Cloke is gone.

Obviously the Club thinks he is gone and thus the statements, very, very pointed statements, by Walshy last week at the signing of Reid and Fasolo.

Cloke has single-handedly derailed our club this year; everybody knows it and it's obvious with every terse statement from Ed and Walsh.

But why are we still playing him? OK play him and get what we can out of him if his performance is helping the team, but I suggest that Cloke's performances over the past 8 weeks has actually harmed the team, not helped it.

It's time for Bucks to drop him .........and who is our forward coach again?
After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

Not defending Lappin, but it wouldn't matter who the forward coach is at the moment. With the Cloke saga & Dawes unable to take the simplest chest mark, what can he do?

Cloke should have been dropped immediately he went on the Footy Show, & Dawes even earlier. We've made a rod for out back by keeping them in this long. Do we now throw kids in at this stage, were they most likely get pumped?
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.
