No brainer that we will now offer 5 years @$800k.

Let's hope crazy old man Cloke doesn't move the goal posts again.

If the only issue is the performance based clause in the 5th year worth about $300K then time to cave. Give him $800K for 5 years.

Cloke goes to the Scum, then our premiership window slams shut whilst the Scums opens and so does the chance for MM to get another flag.

Just do it.

Consider that before last night, in what we all would describe as an average season, Cloke still:

Played every game
Kicked 50 goals (in a team that ranked 11th for inside 50s)
Led the league in contested marks.

Then throw in last night's performance in a final against the best team in the league with limited F50 opportunities.

And the fact that he has missed only a handful of games in 6 years. And is a premiership player and B & F winner.

Now consider if 800k for 5 years is a fair price, especially since our arch enemy are offering 25% more, but from all reports he is happy to stay if we offer the 5th year.

It's time we sorted out this nonsense and got the deal done.

Give him 10 if he wants, brilliant performance

Trade Daisy to Carlton instead and then we can use his 750k to chase another big man to partner Trav

Then again we will probably be paying Daisys contract because no other club would pay him more than about 200k

Yep. He now has 56 goals for the year. He kicked 69 last year. In terms of scoreboard impact he's almost been better this year when you take into consideration opportunity. Last season we were number 1 for inside 50 entries, this year we are 11th.

He's an elite player and would be even better at a club who moves the ball more quickly and more precisely. If we don't sign him we are going to be very sorry.

The Coleman was only won with 6X goals, cloke has done very well.

Would you rate his season better than 2010, in which we won the flag. I would.
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, we want some Bayley!

If you could have Tippett at 700 or Cloke at 1 million what would you do?

It's been reported he's asking for around $800k. The Clokes say they have not asked for any more money than was offered (reported t be $750k), just an extra year.

Tippett v Cloke? There's no doubt that Cloke is the better player right now and Tippett has some questions over him going forward. Cloke would be worth at least 100-200k a year more than Tippett I'd reckon.

Well if Cloke does go to Carlton , they have just got rid of Bret Thornton , so the number 32 will be now be available for him at the filth.
