A pretty good turnout yesterday morning with most players there. Pendles and Maxy had media duties and a few of the rehab guys weren't there either.

The morning started before the doors opened with the players donning green vests and ou they went onto the road and started shaking the Salvos' tins at the traffic lights. The players seemed to enjoy it.

At our table was of course Taylor Adams but also Jesse White and Adam Oxley. The Ox sat right next to me and this was who I spoke to for most of the morning. Ox is a Queenslander too so it was a good fit.

My son, Flynn, dropped me in it by saying my dad doesn't trust Swanny's kicking when running into goal. I quickly responded by saying it's better than what I could do.

Ox mentioned he was quite sore from his first game back in the VFL and couldn't remember it being that quick. He was under strict instructions that he was to play only three quarters but wanted to get back on in the fourth of course to help out the team. I mentioned I saw Sinclair walking off and asked whether he did his hamstring again. He thought Sinclair had twinged his other hammie this time.

I also asked him whether or not Cloke was carrying a knee injury (as speculated) and he said that he wasn't to his knowledge.

Asked the question about Lappin for all the critics (seem to be a lot on here) and he said they are all good coaches and it's just people talking outside of the inner sanctum.

Also asked about Cloke's knee. He said there was nothing wrong with it to his knowledge.

Up on stage they interviewed Karnezis and Steele first and this was followed later by Sam Dwyer and Jamie Elliott.

Karnezis - when asked about the difference at Collingwood said it is the winning culture. Didn't win too many games during his time in Brisbane.
And he's been pulling up well so far no soreness in the groin

Steele - said that the team clearly need to work in all areas. Not too keen to be playing finals footy in round 10. Said they dug deep when it mattered.

When Steele was asked about Bally's black eyes he said that reason why Luke always looks the way he does is that he fumbles all of the time so has to stick his head over it searching for the ball. Hence the whacks to the face.

Sam Dwyer was up there to speak about his 100th VFL game. Ox mentioned that Sam is good mates with Jordan Lewis (played juniors together) and it was starnge that Lewis had played 200 AFL games and Sam hadn't played too many.

Jamie didn't want to know anything about his hangar attempt the night before because he had dropped it. Jamie also mentioned that Bucks had given him more freedom to roam and that he was enjoying it.

All in all a very good experience. Thanks guys.
My son went around and got signatures and an older gentleman from Adelaide took a photo of him and Marley Williams as he thought my son looked like a smaller version of Marley. I'll put that photo up when it gets e-mailed to me.

Thanks

Paul
