Nah I watched the same game as you but with an open mind.axl13 wrote:You must have watched a different game to most of us
You should try it sometime instead of slaughtering a kid starting out who made some blues late but giving a free pass to some veterans who gave nothing for the bulk of the game.

BEST
Collingwood: Elliott, Pendlebury, Cloke, Adams, Dwyer, Lumumba
Named in the best, 30 touches, what the hell is wrong with you people? He's an inside midfielder so the possessions he gets are under pressure which is why he had SEVEN clearances, SEVEN tackles and FOUR inside 50s. He was great today but butchered it a bit late when he would've been out on his feet. It's like people watch the game without knowing anything about it at all.
His disposal efficiency was only 57%, but not that much worse than players who got a lot less of the ball. Blair was woeful, and I could understand people going nuts over his performance, but because he barely touched it you don't even notice. Blair had 29% disposal efficiency from 7 touches.
Seriously, if you're bagging Adams and blaming him for the loss then turn over to the soccer and **** off from following AFL because you have no damn clue.

Spirited defence, and I'm in sympathy with the point ; but there is no denying that his disposal, right now, is a major knock on his game. It seesm to be a composure thing. The good news is that this generally improves with games and the confidence and security they bring. Sinclair and Toovey have both had the same blowtorch, and both improved to be good players. Adams will get there eventually, though I can't see him as being in the best today.Wokko wrote:BEST

Sorry to you to mate.axl13 wrote:Sorry mate just read your post again and I thought you were bagging him my mistake, I thought he was good today unlike Keefe, white, Blair etc
I just read previously that you were judging him fairly and giving him his due as well.
We just got our wires crossed which is understandable with this site polluted with so many hysterics and whinging bitches.

I'm not blaming Adams for the loss, though he did cost us a chance to win it.Wokko wrote: His disposal efficiency was only 57%, but not that much worse than players who got a lot less of the ball. But no, he was not great. He won the ball well, I will give him that. But his disposal by foot all game was awful, not just at the end, and no it's not because he was kicking under pressure either. His winning of the ball just rarely made much of a positive impact. His negative impact was greater than that of Ball and Thomas, but that may have just been balanced out by his clearances. In all, none had a good day.
Look, he'll probably be alright as a M.Boyd or Cross type but his decision making needs to improve as well as his execution.
I've probably been a bit harder on him than is fair, because he really did make some terrible mistakes in that last quarter, but no one can convince me that he had a good game.
Well done boys!
