He's a contested ball freak at just 20 years of age, and without doubt will be our primary extractor next season if he does not overtake Ball this year. His disposal by foot is still garbage, but he'll learn to use it more intelligently as he matures. At the moment his method is to play it safe, which is fine for now.

What Adams has shown in the last two weeks is that he's well ahead of Thomas. A much better clearance and contested ball winner. And while his disposal is not as poor as Adams's, Thomas does not use the ball well enough to be an inside/outside mid.

Good game for Adams, Thomas & Broomhead to play in. Only one showed promise. I had high hopes for JT and Broomy is just finding his feet.

Much improved from last week (under pressure)

Adams is a better player and more upside then Thomas.

Thomas is not a complete dud, Good Depth though

^^I agree Dave. I'm not sure Thomas is going to be in our best 22. Adams definitely will be. Right now he's our only option to replace Ball.

And for those who have questioned it, the fact that he is our only real option to replace Ball shows that it was a great decision to trade him for Shaw. Without Adams we'd almost be in a crisis situation in the off season, needing to pick up a quality inside mid ready to impact straight away. Instead we have Adams at 20, playing now and preparing for a big year in 2015 as our number 1 extractor. Very smart dealing by the Pies.
Well done boys!

Yes, nice work Taylor. Plenty of the pill these last 2 weeks and much better efficiency today including a goal. Keep playing him Bucks as he'll be a footballer.
