Terrific game tonight!
Agree that Ball's absence has allowed him to play the role that he is well suited to (and that until Ball left, he was finding it hard to find his role - given that Ball was playing it).
Next to Beams, Pendles and Macaffer, our centre set up looks pretty complete for years to come.

All the knockers want a team of Pendleburys without understanding you need a Ball or Adams to get the ball into their hands. You don't want your silk down in the mud and blood, you want them creating. Don't hate those who are so ignorant of the game that they couldn't see what Adams would offer, pity them and hope you don't have to sit next to them at the footy screaming at the players to play like it's 1985.
Sure his disposal is a bit suspect, but I notice it's most suspect when he's under little or no pressure, when the heat is on he acts instinctively and his instincts are damn good.

played his best game without a doubt. Crashed in, stuck his tackles, and his disposal was much better. Was disappointed at the start of the year but goes to show that young kids don't just have an immediate impact they need consistent time. Give Thomas, Kennedy, broomhead and adams more time and I think they can be top contributors for us.

I'd argue Ball's absence has improved his game dramatically. It was the games where Bucks had him playing at half back that were horrible. If he's to be an advantage to our team, then he needs to be played as a permanent inside mid pinch hitting forward occasionally, NOT BACK. Well done to the kid, I'm quite happy to eat my words. Clean up your disposal son and you're going to be a very important part of our team going forward.

He can hardly miss this 'weakness'. Some of his kicking is akin to giving the ball to a visiting overseas celebrity for a photo shoot!Jezza wrote: The fact that he's identified his kicking as being a slight weakness of his game is a great sign that he's going to do everything he can to rectify that problem.

WEll then half the Side could be Dropped because of bad Kicking Thenleonmagic wrote:definitely getting better, but his disposal still really concerns me. mind you, so did ben johnson's. as a few have said, if he can get that up to par then he's a pretty vital player for us. if he can't...he'll be a liability.

How about Nick's player sponsorship participants get a jacket with 'Taylor Adam's Member' printed on it?!King Malta wrote:Member 7167 wrote:I'll get in on this too.Breadcrawl wrote: Sign me up as well.
Seems we have a decent little club going, should we get some jackets made?
