Standing ovation. Brilliant post, every word of it. I hope the scapegoaters read every sentence of it carefully and then proceed to give themselves a collective uppercut.September Zeros wrote:Fact is Blair has been a loyal player and given his all. Why shouldn't we be happy for him ??? He plays for our club. The one we supposedly support. He busts his gut week in week out for our club.
The fact he's probably a Fringe player or even just at vfl standard for a club like hawthorn is irrelevant, because he plays for our club....you know ....the one we support? And at our club there's not a lot of competition for his spot. Primarily because it's not all Blair's fault, there are 22 other players you could argue aren't delivering at present either but who's waiting to take their spots? Our list doesn't run that deep right now and Him playing in the twos will make very little difference to our current performances ......all you'll do is take away some experience from the team, something we lack badly.
The nastiness and Ill will towards a a player who just committed to our club and stayed loyal blows me away. There may not be other other clubs knocking down his door, but he certainly didnt test the waters either.

Rather be part of the three stooges than a solo act who can't get a laugh.
As usual those who serve to divide these boards miss the point entirely. I'm unhappy with a lot of things going on at pie land at present, and in particular our ability to win games. But that's got squat all to do with me being happy for one of our players who have done nothing wrong other than try their best for our club, so much so they contributed significantly to our last flag.
No Pressure, No Diamonds
They used to be a happy team at hawthorn.

Stands and applauds! Bravo!September Zeros wrote:No not much is going well at pieland. Who's saying that? Or did you just make that part up to puff up your argument?thompsoc wrote:I see the usual club stooges posting on this thread.
Tow the party line and claim all is well in pieland.
Blair is averaging 0.6 goals and just for comparison
betts of adelaide is averaging 2.2.
Why bother going on.
if blair ever got another club interested in his services
i would be amazed.
It is a good deal for blair. if i was blair i would be very happy.

I respect the guy, and I'm happy for him...... It's pretty straight forward.

^^^ Yes. I think Frodo has his limitations and I would like to see an upgrade in due course but his attitude, courage and hard work just cannot be faulted. It's a brilliant effort by him to play 100 games and help win a flag. There are very few Collingwood players in the last 50 years who have done both of those things.
Some respect for a fabulous achievement is called for, whatever differences of opinion we might have about team selection.

^^Call it as I see it.
If someone isn't good enough, isn't playing the way the team needs them to, or worse isn't giving 100%, I have no problem calling them out.
What I don't understand, is the hatred towards someone who gives their all and plays to instructions.
Can understand people believing someone's not good enough and making that call, fair enough, but the hatred??.............
And again, judging this from a stats sheet is idiotic.

HEY, "perceptive fellow" No. 2, for your info ALL clubs, yes, even the top four ones, have types like Blair in their teams, types that don't star, don't stand out, and just do a reasonable job, try their best, what, do you think every top 4 team is just laden with talent with no average players. ??thompsoc wrote:I see the above three stooges are alive and well on this board.

ALL teams have second rate players, all teams, trouble is, you cant handle that undeniable FACT !!thompsoc wrote:As usual the stooges get it wrong
We dont hate blair.
We just think he is a dud.
The sycophants cant see the forest for the trees.
Second rate players get you second rate results.
