Of that group, only JT, Broom, Marty, Moons, Gordon and Tony are eligible under the criteria to play finals.perthmagpie wrote:Most likely will be playing Werribee. Unfortunately with the game against Hawthorn on the same weekend our team will very weakened. Probably only 8 to 10 listed players. If we miraculously steal a win then the week after we could have Thomas, Broomhead, Dwyer, Grundy, Clarke, Mooney, Sinclair, Fasolo, Ramsay and Armstrong added. That would give a chance in week two of the finals.
We needed to play Sinclair and Fas last night if we wanted them to play VFL finals, while Dwyer just hasn't played enough VFL games to qualify and Grundy has played too many AFL games...

Can't say I can give any decent reviews. My 10 year old daughter came along and just wanted to kick the footy. Was a complete distraction. Plus my eyes from ground level are poor.
What I will say is that Martin is all class around goals. Kicked a goal from tight in the pocket in front of me and didn't look like missing.

We have 29 VFL listed players in total (20 primary list, 9 development list).perthmagpie wrote:We should have four AFL listed players this week. Will probably lose Kennedy, Seedsman, Karnezis and Martin to the senior team. Do we even have nineteen or twenty VFL listed players to make up the numbers?
Of those 29, 5 are out injured, although Lachlan Howe is listed as a test and may be available next week. Assuming Howe doesn't get up, that's 24 players left from which to select a team of 23.
Yes, we're just about running on empty!

That's the spirit!swoop42 wrote:Our VFL side will be just that this week a VFL side with hardly a senior listed player in sight.
Not only will this make our chances of winning very little to be honest without the AFL boys running around my interest isn't great.

A few players may come up to play, Toovey, Elliott, H, Clarke among them. Be nice to have a full squad but every little bit helps.MagpieBat wrote:We have 29 VFL listed players in total (20 primary list, 9 development list).perthmagpie wrote:We should have four AFL listed players this week. I might well be but at least I'm yet to fall to your level and begin personally abusing fellow posters.die4pies wrote:That's the spirit!swoop42 wrote:Our VFL side will be just that this week a VFL side with hardly a senior listed player in sight.

I have been a bit of a sour puss, this year has taken a toll but like most we all have our issues we are dealing with from day to day outside what people in the confines of this forum see.John Wren wrote:you have become a bit of a fair weathered supporter of late.swoop42 wrote:Our VFL side will be just that this week a VFL side with hardly a senior listed player in sight.

In retrospect trying to ween myself off Zoloft at the same time sitting through a season which I think is our worst since 1999 hasn't been a good mix for little old swoop.
Can't do anything about our shocking injuries or current uninspiring style of football but I've decided to double my dose of medication from tomorrow.
