Background: A best-and-fairest winner with the Northern Knights, Turner is a consistent onballer who hails from Northern Football League club Lower Plenty. He was considered to be a leading contender for the 2013 Morrish Medal (the TAC Cup's best-and-fairest award) during his only season at TAC Cup level. He featured in every game and averaged 24 possessions and 4.5 tackles across the season.

He is a quiet kid who works hard, is a good user of the ball and played well against Port Melbourne. He will certainly get his opportunities throughout the course of the year as the 23rd man.
