Unbelievable. Last Friday we were all applauding the clubs stance to end negotiations and having the guts to not be held to ransom by contracted players.didick wrote:Apparently Ed on MMM this morning said it was happening. Soft. Caving into the Brions.
Now we just give up that stance for Crisp? Another list clogger. I've been very happy with the clubs last two trade periods since Buckley took over as we seem to have negotiated well and maximised our returns. If this deal goes through though, we'd have been royally reamed and undoes a lot of the good work of improving our list in the last two seasons.

I would've prefered Pick 5 and Aish or Redden but I won't be upset with this deal. Pick 5, Greenwood, Varcoe & Crisp? For Beams and lumumba. It works out Pick 5 & Greenwood for Beams as we wanted originally. Varcoe and Crisp for Lumumba. I prefer a pick instead of Crisp maybe, I don't know much about him but he looks ok.

Time to get the deal done. I can't see any value in retaining players who don't want to be there. We would be a million to one for the flag in 2015 anyway so keeping Beamer won't effect our flag chances one way or the other but gives us a chance at another potential star with pick 5.
Crisp adds all sorts of possibilities as a big midfielder or running half back (Both positions of need for us) and wouldn't be the first player to turn his career around in a new environment.

To be honest, I don't know this kid at all. My worry is that if he struggles to get into the seniors at a shit team like the Lions, he can't be that good surely?Coxy83 wrote:Time to get the deal done. Maybe Hine and co see something there that the Lions didn't. We can only hope I guess.

IF Collingwood accept this deal they have officially lost the plot and NOT got the best deal for us. They have totally bloody caved it since Friday for an unknown player in Crisp.... Frustrating and annoying.roar wrote:This proposed deal is so crap that I just can't see how we would accept it.
We have got reamed in this deal, thanks to Beams......
