"ABC TV is unable to commit to the broadcast of the VFL in 2015 and beyond," ABC Television Head of TV Sport & Events Justin Holdforth said.
if coverage of the vfl is discontinued by abc i really hope someone else picks it up. perhaps though, lack of coverage might be the making of the comp and drive more people to attend. i do wonder how many watch games on tv.
edit: there's a possibility of 7mate televising the games.
It's pretty much a done deal that Eddie's company will be broadcasting the VFL and probably the WAFL next year. McGuire Media took the SANFL this year and seem to have done an okay job with it.
Apparently, some mooted timeslots are 12pm on Sundays and Monday night games out of Punt Road...

Eddies company may sell the rights to Channel 7 to be shown on 7Mate, as suggested on KB's radio show with Phil Cleary.
Peter Landy the last time I saw him was at a Commonwealth Games doing the boxing and weightlifting it was after Seven lost the footy. I don't think he's done much in the media since.
Wikipedia research of Peter Landy says that his last commentary gig was indeed the Commonwealth Games in 2006 which were broadcasted on channel 9 at the time.
I just found his disappearance from the commentary circuit somewhat unusual considering how prominent he was in footy commentary from the 1970s right up to the late 1990s.
