Obviously there's several potential elite midfielders on offer at pick 5 - Laverde, Langford, Pickett, Cockatoo, Ahern and De Goey. I've discounted Ahern and Pickett, because it seems we're after potential big bodied mids. Based solely on their highlights I'd have to rate the others (today anyway) as:

1. Laverde
2. Cockatoo (I'm tempted to rate him at number 1).
3. De Goey
4. Langford

At the end of the day, I'd be happy with any of these players, knowing that our recruiters know a lot more about them than any of us will ever know.

If it turns out to be De Goey, I guess we'll have to call him Speed, Crystal or Meth!

48, 85 and rookie selection:
