Should be quite a few senior and rookie listed players getting game time. Potentially Reid, Goodyear, Maynard, Seedsman, Marsh, Abbott. Maybe even some of the senior guys who missed NAB round 1 like Cloke, Pendles, Swan and Blair. Maybe even Moore.

Seniors is again 26+2.

Do their seniors play this weekend as well?

Thursday.

So any player who gets cut from their final NAB squad will likely play Saturday.

That's okay, at least they can't load up their squad to get game time into senior guys.

From what I heard in today's training reports I think you might be right Dave.

Can't wait to see him play eventually.

Cox vs Padraig Lucey would make for an interesting, if somewhat unusual, duel.

The United States of America vs the Republic of Ireland!

Reid won't be risked. Blair might be thereabouts (and I wouldn't say no to him in the VFL), but the Big 3 are going to Bendigo. Enjoy it. :)

Still, Borthwick, Ellis, Wallin and Taylor would all be playing, I imagine, as our newest VFL recruits...?

Not so sure about Reid given the way he's been training. Good opportunity to get a quarter or 2 into him, could be very well time managed. I understand that there will be risks but he has to start sometime if he ever intends to return to the seniors.

Reading (no pun intended!) the tea leaves in the press, they're not sure he's ready just yet. Balme equivocated when asked on Monday. Suppose the next injury report will determine it, one way or the other.

I thinking Reid will probably play in NAB game 3, then in the VFL on the 26th vs Richmond. Question is, would 2 games be enough to prep him for round 1?

Latest update is Reid and Witts are playing. Seed a week or so off, as is Marsh.

I'd imagine Abbott, Maynard, Goodyear and Cox should all be playing.
