I learned to keep pushing forward despite the blowback that inevitably comes once you drive a hard but necessary bargain. Slow learner

It happens a lot more than you think...

We had a guy call our AH service line on a Sunday afternoon demanding a tech attend to fix a rubbish compactor that day and refused to wait until the Monday for the local tech to attend and didn't care what it cost.

Tech went through standard "over the phone checks including... have you checked the stop button?" guy was such a smartass he replied "how stupid do you think I am?"

Tech jumped in a taxi to the airport, got on the first available flight from Sydney, taxi to Clayton and the guy was standing there waiting, tech walked up to the machine... pulled out the stop button and machine started working! Sign here please... cab back to the airport, next flight to Sydney, cab home.

Bill came to (including flights & taxi) $3,000 + an added 30% F.U fee...

OK, so apparently this was no big secret but I just learned it.

You heard of Easter Island? yeah?
That's the place with those big arse head statues all over the place. The joint where the Peruvians and Spanish basically wiped out any remnants of the original population in the early 1800's by taking them as slaves.

You know those statues? The heads?

the farkers have bodies. The bodies are buried in the ground so only the head sticks up.
