It was awful, a genuine dog of an act that no footballer should do. Whether he plays for us or not. That sort of shit shouldn't happen. No excuses for dropping your knees into an opponents head.

Speaking as a Collingwood supporter, present at the game, it was bloody embarrassing. Adams was booed by the crowd from there on, though not as much was would have been the case had the offender been a Port player at a Collingwood home game. What'sinaname wrote:It was awful, a genuine dog of an act that no footballer should do. Another top game by Adams. Given he is 8 years younger than Shaw and reaching his peak in the next few years we have done real well picking him up.
Clearly he stands up in the biggest games. The commentators were keen to show the incident as much as possible last night. It was not the knee that left the power player reeling but rather a little rabbit punch to the head. I like his aggression and it is what the Hawks do all the time - - sure he crossed the line and will go for a week maybe two, but I like the boy
We will need Greenwwod to come in and fill the large void if Adams is suspended. That goal from the boundary in crunch time was brilliant!

How do you know his intention was to drop his knees into his opponent's head? He was being held down on the ground. Couldn't get up. He can't use his arms because the other guy is holding onto him, so he uses his knees to break the guy's hold on him and accidentally hits his head. That's the way I saw it.What'sinaname wrote:It was awful, a genuine dog of an act that no footballer should do. Whether he plays for us or not. That sort of shit shouldn't happen. Great game by Adams but marred to some extent by his actions that will I suspect result in some form of suspension. I must admit that I cannot recall him reacting in this way in the past. Whilst it does not excuse his actions I would suspect that something upset him along the way.
