They may not have been duds but they certainly weren't A-grade to anyone except somebody trying to justify a stupid comment.

So AA doesn't qualify you as an A grader in that year?
So besides from my 5 nominated A graders from Hine
Which others would you nominate?

Hine is calm, measured, professional, unflustered and thorough. Judkins was a Bombers spy! Game over!

No, you are correct, thompsoc, players like Harry were A-grade for a year but that didn't continue. I also agree with you that Judkins gets judged far too harshly around here, and finds such as Swan and Heater were excellent but you can't list the likes of Lockyer and Scotland when discussing A-graders. And you need to accept he made some shocking choices.

It is also too early to accurately judge how many A-graders Hine has nabbed until the kids have had a good run with it. Wait 3 years and then let's revisit.

He was, sort of. We didn't take him as a father-son pick but rather preferred his cousin Brayden. Of course, the Brayden choice was terrible but we did pick up Heater with a late pick that same year.

He WAS taken as a father/son selection. So was Brayden.

We really maximised the advantage afforded by being able to take F/S selections with 2nd and 3rd round picks by using our 1st (pick 17) on Morrison.

Judkins picked many many rabbits.
The Billy Morrison pick was the worst ever!
But he picked some good ones every year!
As for players such as Scotland not being an A grader
is a valid point. But he played 260 odd games, won Carlton
best and fairest and picked in a AA 40 man squad.
Every player I picked had done exceptionally well.
Lets not get too bogged down in definitions on this one.
As for FS you still have to rate them.
Stewart wasn't rated highly by Hine and he wasn't picked by us.
