What happened with the interchange in the VFL today?

Post by thompsoc »

It seems that we didn't have a full team in the VFL today.
If not what a disgrace from a supposed professional organisation.
Can someone please enlighten us.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Apparently, we didn't think to hold any VFL boys back as cover for Marsh (sore hammy), Goodyear, White (call-up for Goldsack) or Macaffer not playing.

Ferguson and some other regulars were apparently sent back to play Ammos.

John Wren could probably offer more insight...

Started with 21 (2 short). Gault got knocked out in the first half, left us with 20 against 23 (which became 20 vs 22 when McDonald failed the concussion test for Casey). Then Dale Hinkley arrived after half time and brought it back to 21 vs 22.

Frost, from reading reports from those who were there, was apparently benched for the last quarter and Borthwick was 'subbed out' with a shoulder injury, which made it 19 vs 22 in the last.

So, really, it's no surprise we got steamrolled...

Reading between the lines I get the feeling that you weren't too happy JW.

Maybe more like JW not wanting to waste his time trying to explain when some people don't want to listen anyway.
