Yes, but thing is mate, caro can give it out in spades on a personal basis, she has been gunning for eddie for years, but when a tiny bit comes back on her, even in jest, she turns into a shrinking violet. Journos are supposed to be tough cookies, comes with the job.
OK, that's fine, but I can't recall her personal attacks on Ed? She may have questioned his motives, actions, etc, but I can't recall her attacking Ed.
I can understand if Caro is getting a bit pissy with this "bloke culture" attack on her given what happened on the Footy Show.

It doesn't matter why you used the word or what you intended. You used the word spaz tick ( even on preview the correct spelling was snipped). I find that offensive. That is all that matters. That's nearly as bad as saying Jehova. By your reasoning in an earlier post you should now be sacked by your employer because you are an embarrassment. And I would also like an apology from you.
If anyone else is offended and would also like an apology let whatinaname know so he can do a mass apology.

I've got Italian heritage and am proud of it. I get called "[snip]" "Italian Stallion", "Iti" etc and because it comes from people I know and I know that it is used in jest, I laugh and walk away ( and give it back )......and guess what!!!!!....everything turns out great and the sun comes up next day!!
Yes there are days when I would rather be treated nicer but its not a big deal and I use something called perspective. Besides it makes the day go faster with a bit of banter and laughter......day go (dago) get it get it.....
If Carro can give it, and BTW it is a big call to ask him to step down, amongst all the other crap she harps on about Eddie, but if she gives it then she should take it.... and if she cant take it then bye bye Carro , look elsewhere for a job, because media work is for people with thick skin!!!

She has questioned his motives, his abilities, his suitability to lead the Pies, I call that somewhat damn personal. But, I guess, we agree to disagree on this issue. Don't think I will watch Foot Classifides tonight, she will be milking it for al she is worth, and turning it into another bash Collingwood exercise.

Sorry guys. I haven't been on Nicks much as I have been consoling my wife who has taken to her bed, is very upset and feels violated by Eddies comments
Doesn't' that sound rediculous.. Just as rediculous as all tnose individuals feigning offence. Get over yourselves and if you want to take offence do so at something that matters and do something about it. And also, by the way, get a sense of humour.
Whether you support Eddie or not what the incident has shown (amongst other things) is:
1. Eddie is a goose when it comes to this & other incidents.
2. Eddie should've apologised unequivocally - without excuses or blame.
3. Eddie should've called Caro to apologise straight away
4. Eddie doesn't get it
5. Eddie can be cringeworthy
I'm shocked that Eddie couldn't do some basic damage control for a man that is meant have media smarts.
Having said that, do I think Eddie is misogynist? No
Do I think Eddie has been good for Collingwood? Yes most of the time.
People have been asking & saying that if the same was said about Robbo then ....Indeed that is the whole point.
This is in a week or so since the womens AFL & Collingwood's license & the discussion about Domestic Violence
He & the boys are just the same as the Footy Show of old: Bogan bully boys wearing suits. In the media corridors of power, the best woman knows her place.
If you label this as PC then you've missed the point. I rarely agree with whatsinaname but she's mostly nailed on these pages in my opinion.

This passive aggressive woman who is so full of vitriol was interviewed by Mike Sheahan for open mike a few months back. She is starting to really warm to being the story rather than reporting it.
And then Robbo took the moral high ground spewing out tripe on SEN today. These flog journos of today are out of line. What happened to the good old days when they knew their place. They are watchers and All they want to do is bring down those who are doers.

Shock jock alan jones, once said, Julia Gillard should be put in a chaff bag, and drowned at sea, I would say that eddies comments are very, very small beer compared to that remark, which was made without jest.
