Fact 4 - If the same joke had been made about Robbo, then no-one would bat an eye. In fact, after his disgusting drug 'expose' I recall Eddie mentioning something like "there's a few Collingwood players who'd like to rearrange his face for him if he wants to drop in to the Holden Centre". Was there a furore over this? Certainly not.

BTW, I'm an inner city lefty with a PhD, so not all of us are infantile and pathetic PC numbskulls.

The same joke was made, about the dipshit....by Neil Daniher on afl360, "we were a little bit disappointed you came up robbo" the hypocrites on 360 have failed to address this as yet.....yes that means you Whately???

To tidy up the Robbo reference it was when Eddie filled in for him on AFL 360 when Roboo allegedly had issues with Teeth, maybe a wisdom tooth or 2.
Eddies response to Whateley was that if Robbo wanted to come down to the Holden centre there would be about 60 people willing to remove his teeth for free.

As someone else said, Eddie treated Wilson exactly as he would a man, her gender was not on his mind when he made the remarks, as it shouldn't be if we're truly striving for gender equality.

No that is totally incorrect - it wasn't Wilson who raised it or wrote about it initially - it was a Sydney female writer a week after the event and that turned on the social media warriors and away we went!!!

I don't think she even knew about it before this - and if she did well she hadn't said anything. But once the twitterati were up and about she had to respond - I still think it was the comments from Ed following Barrett's refusal to play along - the black widow crap rather than the initial stuff that she didn't think was " playful banter" and sorry but that bit didn't sound very playful to me either.

That having been said she doesn't like him anymore than he likes her so I'm sure she must be smiling at least a little at the shite storm that it has now become!

She accepted his and the other boof heads apologies and that should have been an end to it - but nah perceived offence and outrage has grown into an uncontrollable noxious weed!

Actually it was a little group of female Hawthorn supporters who put it in a podcast that started the ball rolling.
