I'll go one step further, he will be first picked and will keep #35 for the rest of his career.

If I had my way #42 would be the number given to the first selected, taste the history of our great club, then create your own.

Neither are Guranteed Nation Draft Picks. I have big Concerns on Both.

As you Said Daicos without the Ball is Quite Poor. Good with ball in Hand.

Brown can get the ball but Lacks Hurt Factor by Foot.

Still the 2nd Half of Season to go and Both will most likely get a game or 2 with the VFL Team and see what they do there

Why so Dave, both appear to be compiling better draft year performances than say Moore?

At the moment, at highest, Brown is rated a late 2nd round pick and Daicos 3rd or maybe even 4th round.

So as it stands we can easily afford both, even without a first or second round pick to play with.

Of course there's always the possibility we trade players away to get a 1st or 2nd round pick which would make it easier to get both youngsters.

Brown is more of a midfielder than Daicos at this point, but both have shown ability to kick goals in the small forward role.

But I agree with Rudeboy here I don't care what it costs, both have to be on the Collingwood list next year, they suit a need (small forwards) and their names are just too big to pass up.
Hine has shown has just does not look at Names.

I would hate for us to Draft them Just because of There Names

Brown in the best and Daics kiked a goal and had 11 touches.

Both will be on our list next year. Cant imagine a scenario where that doesn't happen and i suspect we gave away our top pick knowing we'd lose it anyway to one of these guys. Its really easy to hoard second third and fourth round picks in draft maneuverings to get points to get players.

Maybe we are smarter than we give ourselves credit for.

That's not my recollection of Moore's draft year. Spent most of the justifying his pretty average performances on the fact he'd missed a lot of footy due to injury.

If someone does bid, we will find the points if we want them, whether that be through trading of players and/or well-targeted trades for higher point value picks.

And there is always the option of going into deficit on the value of next year's picks if need be...

I watched the games yesterday and both were fair to good without being outstanding. Can't see either going first round more likely second round or even 3rd depending on if anyone tries to bid early to force our hands.
The going into deficit is a interesting position really
I think we need small natural forward crumbers and both could suit that need. They look footy smart but a bit undersized but neither of there fathers were overly big and played in a tough era
Daicos is more likely to be the skilful crumber with Brown being able to pinch hit in the forward line and rotate as a true mid. Hopefully they both grew another 4-8cm in next couple years would be handy
We will have no trouble getting the required points together I believe we will be off loading some players at years end as both Keefe and Thomas will come off rookie list you would assume and we have some holes to fill and need to improve our draft position.

Brenton Sanderson on SEN this morning gave Daicos a good review. "Clean hands" "doesn't fumble".

He thought both Brown and Daicos would be rated late first round to 2nd round.
