I'm starting to get the drift other clubs are going cold on our wayward forward, he still has one more year with us at least in his contract, would not surprise me if nobody drafted him, clubs seem to be losing interest now in him.

Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!
You are incorrect. The topic should be woods, not irons.Tannin wrote:Piesnchess, please refrain from introducing irrelevancies. The topic is one irons. Do try to stick to it.
Travis' kicking resembles Happy Gilmour using a wood to drive down the street from his granny's front lawn. Long way but not sure where it will end up.

If they can't find a 2nd rounder at least give us 'rats and mice" picks of 3, 4 and 5 so we can lock in the Daicos and Brown kids. See how smart other clubs are going to be if they bid for them and have to give up real value. Then if we don't bid they say :hey, not what we wanted".Push them into top 20 territory.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

If the penny finally drops for Trav, the thunk will register on the richter scale and he'll play some good footy for the Dogs.
If it doesn't, and there's ample evidence he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, he'll see out his days in the VFL wearing red, white and blue.
I'd still want more than a 3rd round pick for him, either 2 low picks we can use for FS points or a 3rd rounder and a player we rate.

i am very sad cloke is moving on. was hoping he would one a one club player and that precocious 17 year old would retire a collingwood great. he leaves a premiership player and i hope he regains the form we know he is capable of. it will be bittersweet watching him run around with the welfare.RudeBoy wrote:It's a strange thing, but i was very sad when we lost other key forwards in trades, including McKenna, Moore, Carman, Sav Rocca and Taz. However, in this case I'm actually relieved to see Travis move on to another club. Nevertheless, I wish him well.

I'm sad it didn't work out for him at the pies & disappointed that he is leaving. When he's on song he's terrific. I've often thought that losing Dawes & playing Dawes in the wrong position was the start of his downfall.John Wren wrote:i am very sad cloke is moving on. was hoping he would one a one club player and that precocious 17 year old would retire a collingwood great. he leaves a premiership player and i hope he regains the form we know he is capable of. it will be bittersweet watching him run around with the welfare.RudeBoy wrote:It's a strange thing, but i was very sad when we lost other key forwards in trades, including McKenna, Moore, Carman, Sav Rocca and Taz. Like Collingwood players who leave our club (in the main) I hope he does well but not against us.
I also hope we get a good draft pick for him despite Connolly's article.
