I don't see the problem. Generally those making the biggest fuss about Ed's multiple hats are people who have a deep-seated dislike of the Collingwood football club. They have a vested interest in turning every molehill into an entire mountain range.

His high profile has been of great benefit to the club. It's a bonus that it also irks people like Caroline.

Remember round 2 in 2016, when we Richmond by 1 point?
Everyone gave Alex Fasolo best on the ground for 5 (or was it 6) match-winning goals.
But almost universally pundits gave Adam Treloar second best on the ground.

Caro (who no doubt was still trying to deal with Treloar choosing Collingwood instead of Richmond) said on "Footy Classified" that she didn't think Treloar played well. As has often been the case she had an agenda which dictated her opinion.

There are generations of footy fans that hate the Pies who, if asked, would struggle to explain why.

Disliking Collingwood is part of the fabric of football and it is present at every level of the sport. Sometimes it works in our favour, sometimes it's turned on us like a blowtorch.

Nearly every Carlton, Richmond and Essendon supporter would love nothing more than to see Ed gone. Sadly some Pies supporters get sucked into that self-serving 'outrage' and find themselves siding against the best interests of the club.

Eddie's profile is good for Collingwood - his errors are amplified and his achievements often downplayed or only grudgingly acknowledged by people who have little time for the Magpies.

It's in the club's, and the supporter's, best interests to ignore the false drama.

Last year I commented that Caroline Wilson had nothing to say when Dustin Martin was investigated for threatening a woman with chopsticks. This year, where is she regarding the topless woman saga with the premiership medallion provided by a Richmond player?

Of course, she might be on holidays, or still celebrating Richmond's premiership. But imagine if it were Dane Swan or ANY Collingwood player!!! She's supposed to be the bastion of women's rights.
Her outrage is selective. Once again, her bias and prejudice are exposed.

Nicksters are often critical of footy media people, such as Jonathon Brown, Damien Barrett, Brian Taylor and especially Mark Robinson. I sometimes agree with these criticisms, but I don't know why Nicksters give the biggest Collingwood hater of all, Caroline Wilson, a free pass. We know she hates Eddie but that's only her current manifestation of her hatred of Collingwood. Last night on "Footy Classified" Collingwood's current poor form came under discussion.

Kane Cornes said - Collingwood can still win the premiership.

Matthew Lloyd said- Collingwood's form has been poor for six weeks.

Caro said - Collingwood has more trouble with drugs and illegal betting than any other club. I doubt that's true but even if it is, what has it to do with the topic being discussed? She'll sink the boots into Collingwood whenever she can and has been doing so for a long time. Don't others see this?
She has always been this way.
