Yes David. Best thing that could happen. He's no use to us. We are no use to him (no spot in the senior side for him). He might be the very thing at Carlton. And Carlton could be very good for him.
Win-win-win.
Good luck Faz, and for the next five years may you be the one and only thing to put a smile on a Carlton supporter's face.

Agree with the sentiments above. I was a fan of fas, loved his cocky nature and on his day he could tear teams a new arsehole in a 10 minute burst. But we haven't seen that for a while, so go forth and prosper, except against us.
As tannin said, I hope he is the only thing to make them happy for a long time to come

Disagree on that, he is and was very sharp with ball in hand. His issue was always his lack of defensive work. He could break Olympic records in efforts to get the ball but would make a sloth look energetic once the ball left his immediate area.Cam wrote:Too slow of mind with the ball in hand, didn't fit our gameplan. he'll probably be a 50 goal a year player at carlton, and good on him. We get first dibs on any progeny.

Nah I watched him quite a bit last year. He would run outside 50 to mark and then not know what to do with it, the opposition defense had all the time in the world to reset. He didn't seem to grasp the nuances of our play on style, even the likes of Crocker et al passed him by because they could link and move the ball on quickly. Fas was a good mark, a decent kick and not too bad at the fall of the ball when he wasn't competing with Blairy in the air against the likes of Rance. He'll kick 20-30 goals at the Blues next year, but wouldn't get a game in black and white.stui magpie wrote:Disagree on that, he is and was very sharp with ball in hand.
