Just absolutely shocking news, couldn't believe what I was hearing on SEN just now. Doesn't feel real for someone like him to go out like that, a car accident in the middle of the afternoon on a quiet country road by himself, just doesn't feel real. I'll miss his infectious personality on tele, he was an entertainer. Gone far too soon, so very sorry for his family and those that knew him closely.
RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Years ago, the day after Spud was spat on by that RICH moron, we went to a Burger joint in Albert Park. Whilst waiting for our food, my husband picked up the Herald-Sun & began reading. My eldest at the time, she couldn’t have been more than 4 or 5, saw the picture of Spud in the back of the paper, it was a full page spread of him getting spat on.
She looked at the picture & then peered over her shoulder, she then said:
Hey dad, the man in the paper is sitting right over there.
We both looked at the back of the paper & peered behind to see Spud sitting at the table behind us.
He smiled at my daughter & said: Yes, that is me.
I then said: I’m so sorry you were subjected to that bullshit yesterday. That man is a vile pig & is worth nothing!
We made small talk & when he left, gave my daughter a high five.
RIP Spud!

Danny Frawley was our Assistant coach in the late 90's.
Under head coach Tony Shaw, it was Frawley that played Presti at Full Back in the reserves. There's a lot of tributes around. From a personal point, I just want to say thank you for your time at Collingwood Danny.
A great full back, a great clubman, a great captain and a great footy personality. He was also great in the media. Loved by everyone.
Im sure Teddy met you at the gates.
