Assistant Coach - Hayden Skipworth

"Essendon assistant coach Hayden Skipworth is poised to join Collingwood, informing the Bombers of his resignation on Monday...

Skipworth, 36, is likely to replace Tarkyn Lockyer, who is leaving the Holden Centre to replace Luke Power as head of the AFL academy."

This suggests that Skipworth is not the leading candidate but rather behind McQualter and King.

But the journos wouldnt know either...

I do think its a coincidence that we are getting Boyd back and there is all of a sudden a risk we might lose Skipworth.
Sounds like McCartney wont be back next year (going to coach Port Melbourne)
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

Prospective West Coast coach Hayden Skipworth says he is ‘encouraged’ by Eagles talent

West Coast coaching contender Hayden Skipworth says he can see similarities between the rise of Collingwood and the list at the Eagles as they continue their rebuild. Skipworth, who has been a line coach at the Magpies under Craig Macrae for the past few years, landed in Perth on Thursday to interview with the club as one of the three final contenders for the job.
