Captain Bone Spurs the Cowardly is that big a creep, rather than lead the nation and globe to defeat this threat he's leaving everyone else to fight the good fight while he distances himself from official shutdown policy, hoping to later claim the economic losses weren't really his because "he knew things didn't really need to be shut down but no one would listen to him."

He's basically spent the whole week angling to set this argument up, letting everyone else make the tough calls.

The bloke is the vilest piece of dog faeces to ever hold serious office. Just a repulsive malignant narcissist to the core. It's all ever and only about him, even as people die and his own mismanagement crashes the world economy.

His presidency, like his life, is one failed gamble after another as he glorifies in the occasional win, denies and explains away all the losses, leaving everyone else to clean up the mess. Just a dangerous, repugnant, toxic virus of a human if ever there was one.

I was astonished to read that Trump is proposing sending people back to work in a couple of weeks. Surely cooler heads will prevail there, right? If not, at the rate they're going, the US might well end up with more deaths than China and Italy.

His cuts to their public service were bad enough but that also included the specific area of virology.

Just when I thought he was turning the corner with respect to strict controls and start listening to the health experts he starts banging on about having the virus sorted by Easter

To be fair, he isn’t planning on having the virus sorted by Easter - he’s just planning on reopening everything and blaming the Democrats when people die in large numbers.

Given the 2T dollar stimulus package is more than an entire year's budget, it's lucky Trump didn't waste trillions on tax cuts for billionaires and drive up the deficit, and didn't abuse executive power to fund giant unproductive vanity projects such as a ridiculous border wall, and avoided a massive expansion of the military budget, while helping build mutually-beneficial relations with trading partners through productive trade policy, and in any case had the market running slightly undervalued if anything because the central bank was able to do it's job and keep things in good order.

Oh. Oops.

It's called a 'rally-round-the-banner' effect, and it's a weak one at that.

Even so, two votes for George W. despite two lost wars and a financial crisis tells you all you need to know about those numbers. Forget tuna; your assets have been skewered by a marlin and are deflating at a rate of knots. Those numbers are aimed at you as much as anyone; imagine what the maniac can do to you if he gets another term. Perhaps the astronomical 3.3 million people filing jobless claims in a single week can advise.

Captain Mental Case feels aggrieved at being taken out of context. You can hear the violins even as we speak.

Here's the ad. The parts not taken out of context are alarming enough.
