And another BOG against Gold Coast to get us into the finals. So, he's finished the season with 13 Brownlow votes.

At least he holds the Pies games record.
Outside of the Pies, heaps of great players have never won it.

Some because they got rubbed out too often, and some because team-mates pinched votes off them.

I always thought Pendles would win one, but it wont happen now sadly.
He could, but we'd actually have to play decent football for a whole season. Next year will most likely be his last chance.

So we end the night with Pendles having the 7th most votes in history.

He is now one of 9 players to have over 200 votes. He and Selwood joined the 200 vote club tonight.

And now has the most votes without having a win. Which is good but bad I guess??

Most votes without a win:
SP - (Started the night on 194) Now on 207.
LM - 202.
JS - (Started the night on 198) Now on 201.

Hopefully Ive gotten all the math right, forgive me if I dont.

That's now 12 consecutive seasons by Scotty with more than 10 Brownlow votes.

Also, it is probably worth mentioning that Pendles is actually a mile ahead of Matthews - Matthews' votes have to be adjusted down to 173.5 to take account of the part of his career played when both field umpires gave separate votes.

You'd think he'll get more than 3 votes next year. It'll be nice to see him pass Judd.

If anyone's looking for omens, the previous time Scotty received 13 Brownlow votes was 2009.

I like it!! Had an omen on the morning of the Elimination final when two beautiful big magpies came to the lounge room window and pecked on the glass! They didn't appear before the Semi unfortunately

With a solid year in 2021, there's a good chance he'll pass Judd and Robert Harvey.

Nah; you've confused him with Scott Embulbury - the actual guy who won it...
