Why would he want to leave Melbourne.
They have much more upside than us at the moment.
Once they get Brown and Weideman back from injury they are challenging for the flag.

Look at their draw - top 4 is their's to lose.

Whoever the next coach is, I just hope we do our due diligence and go through a proper process rather than relying on a captain's pick or favourite son as we have done in the past.

What Eddie is saying is Sideways is not a leader. look at his actions on the field or off the field. He is a senior foot soldier, a plodder, no more effective than a JT or a Chris mayne with what he does with a football. We got rid of the wrong midfielder.

He actually doesn't sound 'overly convincing' imo and what else would you expect a contracted player to say. It actually makes sense to target him as much or even more than any of the other soon to be available free agents.

The key issue really is what will he cost us, both $$$ wise but more so in compensation towards Melbourne in draft picks or players.
