Our entire on ball brigade got a lot of it. MacRae, Bianco Sier, Rantall.
Still not enough from Cox or Madgen, while Kelly and Wilson were solid in defence. McInnes injured early, so that won’t help his cause.
I liked Ginnivins game today but permanent small forwards are hard to evaluate.
Wilson might not be far away but our defence is ok and Howe comes back soon. Sier may get a recall but he still fades at VFL level.
We will see Bianco at some point once he gets a few more miles under his belt. He looks the real deal to me.
Thanks for that, if we go off VFL form, then we should see Macrae, Rantall or Sier in along with Howe for the two injuries. A bit concerning that Cox and Madgen cant get into the game at that level, and hearing McInnes is injured is very unfortunate. It seems as it is as if Sier is taunting us. Impressed with a fantastic season in 2018, and hasnt been up to it since. I was hoping to get to see Bianco early this season before he got injured, so Im excited to see what he can bring later this season.

I want to mention a quiet achiever from Bendigo who is doing well, Tardrew. Very talented footballer. I have high hopes for him.

Thought he was pretty reasonable for a 19 year old ruckman too. Raw but had a decent crack.

Some stats, finally:

Trent Bianco - 29 disposals, seven tackles and a goal.

Finlay Macrae 29 disposals.

Jay Rantall 26 disposals.

Brayden Sier 26 disposals

Jack Ginnivan 3.1 (and at least 1 goal assist) and 13 disposals.

Cox 20 hitouts, 13 disposals, 1.1 (and at least 1 goal assist).

My take on Sier is that I would prefer he not come up until he demonstrates that he can work harder defensively. He was solid enough when he was first to the ball but very ineffective at putting pressure on when the opposition had the ball in hand. Also, his ability to run out games remains an issue. He only had 2 of his 26 disposals in the last quarter - https://twitter.com/CollingwoodVFL/stat ... 2704458756

For anyone who wants to catch up with this game, the replay is on 7-plus for about the next 3 weeks.
