Matt maybe you’re right. We haven’t had a boardroom crisis for so long it’s not funny and surprise surprise that coincides with Eddie’s tenure as Prez.
Just not sure we can go backwards and as a person who has backed the coach unreservedly forever, I reckon it’s now time to get Clarkson. It’s Malthouse all over again.

^ By no means am I saying I want Eddie back as prez, but men like him are always planning something and I just don't feel like he is really finished at Collingwood nor really wants to leave the club forever. Given how willingly he stepped aside never sat well with me, not with him either I'd imagine. Just watch this space. All the current prez candidates are looking weaker by the day. To be honest, out of Korda, Browne and Eddie...who do you prefer? Eddie by a nose right now, but only because the field are donkeys.

It’s about time the Board current and future gave us members a real say! Arrogantly anointing new Directors without even consulting members in these challenging and contentious times is not bloody good enough. This has gone on for too long. It might be the case that some people associated with our Club have publicly stated they ‘don’t like elections’ , but that is utterly unacceptable in a modern democracy. Our Club is not owned by any one person. Members must be respected and allowed vote. Korda has lost me already . No announcements on improved Social Club amenities, nothing about the Coach, or the atrocious on field performance. Wake up !
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

We will see how incompetent Korda and/or Browne and/or anyone else will be and we will wish for Eddie to come back. We all want change, but we want change for the better and so far it all looks to be getting much worse, already with questionable board appointments that appear to only be serving certain presidential self-interests. This is not what we want. The members elect the board, the board elects a President and the board ratifies decisions in the best interests of the club and its members. Somewhere along the line in the last 10 years we have lost sight of this fundamental requirement and the club has become a playground for the selfish and greedy.
The Eddie ticket is on the way! God help us...every one! Unfortunately, there is just nobody more willing or able to take the club to where it belongs. This does not mean he will.
Disagree, i wanted John Bertram as our next President, hes a one eyed Magpie, and a proven winner in life, sport, and business.

Oh I see! Its Lumumba's fault we have a ten year failure of a coach, a undeveloped and unbalanced list, poor corporate structures and a lack of internal leadership.Mr Miyagi wrote:Succession plan didn’t involve Lumumba suing the club and the media circus/ambitious board members forcing Ed to quit.Ronnie McKeowns boots wrote:Well, this is what you get in a corporate structure when you let a demagogue like Ed run wild, no questions about it, where is the succession plan Ed? Why is your Board so shithaus?
He certainly has a big influence over a Club he left, what 7-8 years ago.

Exacto mundo. VP in a year, pretty sweet. And making jokes about Collingwood supporters before that. Why the f*** would supporters care about the club now?RudeBoy wrote:It's a frigging disgrace to bring in someone like this. I'm sick of bozos like this being given the inside running onto our Board. They are using our club as a networking opportunity to further their own careers. Our current board has far too many of this ilk already.
