A great coach should be the one making his assistants better.
Exactly right.

We've already done this once with changing assistants. I have no interest in doing it again.

Time to change it all up and find a new voice to lead the playing group.

I agree with you both. Unfortunately we have supporters who think this is the way to go.

Incorrect. There is no evidence Hardwick is a good coach.

Fitness+zero injuries and Dusty are the two biggest reasons.

I wish Eddie would stop pretending it was all so democratic in his time... :(
As if asking for objections when you parachute in your guys at the AGM means anything.

It'd be better if Eddie just said, "I don't believe in democracy."

Just surprised they brought him on for an interview.

Usually the football media looks down at the average football supporter and disregards their opinion.

Let me give it a go with this Hardwick and no evidence stuff.

Hmmm 3 premierships in 4 years. Yep, that's enough evidence for me to say he is not a good coach, he is a Great Coach.

Serious question - if it was Buckley, would you have said the same thing?

Did Hardwick coach in any way differently 2017--[now] from [?]--2016?
I reckon the answer is no.

He lucked out.

I would love to see him coach another club (not Collingwood), just so we can see what happens. But I don't think it'll happen.

I reckon someone like Neil Craig was a far superior coach to Dimma, just much less lucky. We all underestimate how much luck matters in life... especially when the luck goes our way.

Just get this shit sorted out fast, its too much of a distraction, Caro and her cohorts, Robbo, etc, are salivating over this dissension. Time to get our shit together, get this sorted, done, and get back to Club unity. Just do it !

Irrespective whether Hardwick is sh1te, no, good or great or Neil Craig far superior coach.

In this Forum, would you have said that Buckley is not a good coach if he won 3 of 4 premierships?

Simple question if you can answer...thanks

I'll remove the "in this forum" from the question. (That's adding another question -- whether one likes making unpopular statements on Nick's, etc.)(And "not a good coach" is a bolder claim than "don't have good evidence that *** is a good coach". So make that switch too.)

Answer: depends on the circumstances of the premierships.

Put it this way. Do I think making a GF in '18 means a lot? Answer: No.

The difference is that he's got the necessary signatures. He's now not an average supporter but someone who can call an EGM any time. (Which was one of the first questions: when.)

Good call on Neil Craig but as a former Melbourne coach. It’s sought of irrelevant.

I like Jodie Sizer on the board, but I really dislike her playing race politics against Browne. Add Bridie McBulldog’s agendas and it sums up why we’re a mess -/ some board members are focused on actually winning footy, others are only focused on woke politics.
