Elimination Finals:

Casey Vs Essendon on Saturday 3 July
Port vs Southern Saints on Sunday 4 July

No matter the result from QF, Pies and Cats get to play on in semi finals ie. double chance.

Interesting that above link has different times for games.

This weekends finals confirmed:

A win on Saturday would see the Pies meet the higher ranked winner from the Elimination Finals, while a loss would mean the Pies face the lowest ranked winner from the Elimination Finals.

Crowds are permitted at all matches in Week One of the Finals.

All matches will be broadcast live through the VFL Youtube channel.

Would much prefer the game was at Vic Park - rain forecast on Saturday and there is no cover at the Holden Centre.

3 quarter time, Pies lead by 8 points.

As expected a tight game, not much between these two teams.

Cats leading in the stats. Pies have made the most of their inside 50s but the Cats having the better of the play in the third.

Best Players: C. Bunker, J. Ferguson, M. Cann, J. Lin, M. Neal, A. Porter
Top disposals: Cann, Molloy, Butler, Bunker, Velardo, Ferguson

Cats missed easy goals in the 3rd and last quarters and were probably the better team. They had a couple of girls who took good overhead marks and were making space around the ground.

Pies held tough in the final minutes with strong tackling to eat up time and deny the Cats opportunity to score.

Collingwood will play Essendon in the semis after Bombers defeated Casey. Elimination final between Bombers and Casey was destined to be close after they both finished the H&A on equal points and percentage.

An upset in the other elimination final with Saints (6th) defeating Port (3rd).

Semi Final 2 - Pies vs Bombers @ Victoria Park, Saturday 10 July @ 12.00pm
Semi Final 1 - Cats vs Saints @ GMHBA, Saturday 10 July @ 2.00pm

I think its the winner out of Pies v bombers go through to the grand final. Semi cats v saints winner plays the loser of the pies bombers match hope its the bombers.
Winner of cats or saints v bombers (heres hoping) will play Pies in the gf.

the gf to be played at Marvel.

Congratulations to the AFLW: undefeated so far this season, played 3 really tough physical matches in a row and now into the GF. Brilliant stuff.
