Fantastic game on a beautiful afternoon on a flat deck at the spiritual home of football.
Very impressive performance.

Special shout out to Marla NEAL who tagged her heart out curtailing the Bombers best midfielders all day.

Good luck in the Granny @ Port Melbourne.
Can't wait !

"Unfortunately for the Saints, their season ends with the loss. The Cats now go into the preliminary final to face the Bombers, with the winner heading to the Grand Final to take on Collingwood at ETU Stadium on July 25th."

Is ETU the old teac oval at port melbourne nice ground but i still feel docklands would have been a better venue for the GF. Its was played at docklands last year and the year before that i feel.
Like port melbourne oval its a classic oval ground built for VFL footy the home of the borough.

Yep ETU stadium is port melbourne is more of a footy ground then a stadium though there are some grand stands there though heaps of grass banks and towering pine trees at one end.

Background to Pies finals team selection - at the end of June all teams had to nominate their squads for finals. In previous years there was a points system for final qualification but not now.

Steve Symonds (AFLW head coach) decided that the Pies would nominate U22 members of the AFLW team in addition to VFLW team members. Hence Molloy, Butler, Cann, O'Dea and Porter et al have continued to play into finals.

As the VFLW team is seen as a development towards the senior team, Steve viewed this as an opportunity for the younger girls to play together and get to know styles of play.

In the draft tonight, North Melbourne have selected one of our VFLW players, Jasmine Ferguson.

How will that effect the VFLW GF? Has she been playing??

Definitely no crowds this weekend.

Will have to wait and see if the govt. makes any changes for following weekend. At this stage GF will be crowd free.
