Cheers, I don’t remember them at all, but I still have an aunt, uncle, and 3 cousins and their families there, one I caught up with in 2019, she’s doing it very tough, when I got home I spoke to my sisters and we sent her a fancy food parcel, she was beside herself. She’s very special to me xxx
It does bring home to me how damn lucky we are here. I have unfollowed a couple of people on Facebook because they are making me so angry with their bullshit. Poor me me me me me. I have quite a few USA friends, it’s terrifying. And a lot on a big photography page I’m on (Meg Bitton) have lost family members. Gees there are 5 year olds in hospital. In japan even younger.
The lucky country indeed.

From the ABC blog:
andVictoria has recorded 21 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, 15 of whom have been in quarantine during their infectious period.
Seventeen of the cases are linked to the current outbreaks.
Authorities have also identified two cases which were acquired interstate.
The state processed 45,408 test results on Wednesday....
Queensland has recorded 10 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says.
All 10 cases are in home quarantine and are linked to the Delta cluster in South-East Queensland, which started at Indooroopilly State High School in Brisbane's west.

No state is putting much effort into stopping people leaving, it's all about people coming in.
All the airline checks is your ticket, whether you have permits is your problem.
Interesting that when I flew to Darwin, there was no issues on leaving but on arrival a mob of NT Health people arrived and every person on that flight had to front up and show their permit and ID before they could leave.
When I came back there was no one doing even random checks to see if people had permits

Interesting article, difficult to argue with many of the conclusions. Why the increasingly hysterical push for a harder Sydney lockdown is not only WRONG but not based on evidence... here, NIC WHITE breaks down demands for curfews, masks outside and closing Bunnings

Woke up this morning sneezing and with the nose running like a tap. Just in case the cab driver infested me on the way home from the airport, I just ducked up to Latrobe Uni for a Covid test. 35 minutes round trip.
