^ Whether or not that is particularly significant probably depends largely upon where the new cases are - especially the 4 that aren't "linked" - and how they were found. We have known for a few days that wastewater detections had identified some problem places. If the new cases are in those "anticipated" spots, that's likely to be OK. If we suddenly have cases popping up in, say, Hampton, Frankston or Mallacoota, that's a whole different thing. In terms of managing the pandemic, two "mystery" cases in Corryong would be a whole other thing from 13 more cases in the Western Suburbs.

Meanwhile, 0 new community cases in Qld.

From Victoria's presser, just now, on the 25 new cases:

10 associated with household contacts of Al-Taqwa College.

7 associated with Glenroy West Primary School (6 students, 1 family member).

3 cases associated with Caroline Springs Shopping Centre.

5 cases essentially "mystery". 1 a social contact of the Middle Park case. 1 a cleaner who lives in Dandenong but works in Fitzroy St, St Kilda (believed to be a link to the Middle Park case, so those 3 may be linked). 1 a construction worker in West Footscray. 2 - a mother and her adult son in St Kilda.

Construction workers again...If only Dan followed Gladys lead and shutdown construction and had a real lockdown, not this pathetic mockdown, then Melbourne might have a chance of being released this month...

If we had followed anything the Binchicken had done, we'd be in very serious trouble. It is nice not to hear her whining from afar about how Victorians should adopt her "gold standard".

No Dave, it's why people getting tested for Covid shouldn't be using the same toilets as people working at the testing centre...

No but it's great to hear Dopey whining about how NSW should adopt his methods, even the ones he doesn't employ anymore because VicPol refuse to do it as it didn't work, no matter how many times he says it did...

I still don't understand how people from Sydney can fly into Melbourne. Actually, it's more the case of I don't understand how the victorian government can allow it to happen. We endure another lockdown to get on top of it, and they fail to stop it from getting in, again.

This lockdown is because they opened up last time despite mystery cases and they've only just in the last couple of days found the source of that mystery case which more than likely seeded this cluster.

So they won't tell you until they lift lockdown, but LD5 and 6 are more than likely linked and it's really one big lockdown with a premature opening up in the middle.

The fact the traffic controller and the first case in this outbreak were both in the same area, it seems highly unlikely they aren't linked.
