It can only last so long before the majority of people revolt against lockdowns, and the Premier won't be able to do anything. I think Dan has 4 weeks, after that, with Spring, people will vote with their feet and be out and about regardless of stay at home orders.Dave The Man wrote:The Idiots/Selfish Pricks that do Dictator Dan are the People who make sure we stay in Lockdownstui magpie wrote:And almost immediately on Twitter, 2 polarised hashtags start trending.

Then watch Cases and Deaths Skyrocket. So I guess Good Old Glady was Right Thenstui magpie wrote:Funny how things go around.
This time 12 months ago, Victoria was in stage 4 lockdown with hundreds of daily cases and NSW was free of restrictions.
Now, NSW is in lockdown with hundreds of daily cases and Victoria is............
Oh shit. That didn't work did it.
I guess why even bother having Lockdown as they are a waste of timeeddiesmith wrote:Dave The Man wrote:The Idiots/Selfish Pricks that do Dictator Dan are the People who make sure we stay in Lockdownstui magpie wrote:And almost immediately on Twitter, 2 polarised hashtags start trending.

Yeah, people bashing an incompetent premier are why Victorians are in lockdown, not the fact in 18 months he's done nothing to fix the issues that caused all the heartache...
I do love how Dopey gets up and says if we don't we'll be like Sydney, locked down for months. Funny he doesn't say if we don't we'll end up just like we were this time last year, locked down for months...Never wants to admit his own failures repeating time and time again.
But who cares? Unlike last year I'm not angry, it doesn't affect me. But given Delta is spreading in supermarket settings, greatly increasing the amount of people in a supermarket at peak times seems extremely stupid.
The UK at it's peak were having more deaths per day than Victoria has had in it's entirety.Jezza wrote:Do you think nearly 200 days of lockdown over the last 18 months is the sign of a successful pandemic response?Dave The Man wrote:So I guess Good Old Glady was Right Then
Well IF Majority of People do the Right Thing then won't be in this Situation and those people are just Selfish and Think of themselvesstui magpie wrote:The people who do the #dictatordan are generally fed up and non-labor voters, doesn't make them idiots or responsible for lockdowns.
The people who do the #IstandwithDan are generally rusted on Labor who swallow everything Dan's extensive media team prepare for them, doesn't make them idiots either.
I don't like it but there's a shitpile of people worse off than me. I feel for:
Small business, hospitality and retail. Owners and workers
Parents with primary school age children trying to work from home and also manage home schooling at the same time. That just doesn't work well
People (mostly women) in abusive relationships who have no avenue of respite. Instances of Family Violence spike during lockdowns
The hot weather tends to limit the virus spread, the only hope we have is massive increases in vaccinations in the lead up to summer. There's a point coming soon where people just won't put up with his anymore. Melbourne is approaching the world record for the most locked down jurisdiction in the world, with case numbers and deaths total for 12 months what some places have done in a day.
Why compare us to the UK? Their experience is entirely different to ours, and now for the most part life is carrying on as normal. They're intelligent enough to accept the reality of living with the virus.swoop42 wrote:The UK at it's peak were having more deaths per day than Victoria has had in it's entirety.
Still believe Victoria's pandemic response wasn't successful?
