Helps NSW gets the most Vaccinesstui magpie wrote:I assume they're using the % of over 16's getting vaccinated, as on the Covid Live site it says Victoria is on track to get 70% of over 16's 1 shot by 24 September.
NSW is on track to get 80% before the end of next week.

Helps more that Victorians have been cancelling appointments because they want Pfizer. NSW only got one extra dose of vaccine, at the rate they're going it was less than a weeks worth.Dave The Man wrote:Helps NSW gets the most Vaccinesstui magpie wrote:I assume they're using the % of over 16's getting vaccinated, as on the Covid Live site it says Victoria is on track to get 70% of over 16's 1 shot by 24 September.

If people were more forthcoming about having AZ, the vaccination targets can be reached far quicker than anticipated.

Yep, plenty of bookings available for AZ.
Had a look at Priceline and they have bookings available 7 days a week at locations all over Melbourne.
I was at the local shops and over heard a shop worker complaining that they could not get a booking for Pfizer. They could get AZ but want Pfizer, no medical reason just what they want. I have chatted to this person before and suggested they talk to their doctor as they work in contact with the general public all day. Not sure what they are going to do if it becomes mandatory for their workplace for all staff to be be fully vaccinated if they want to open up fully.

Agreed, the people holding out for Pfizer may end up missing the boat. On the flipped side I've read reports of large numbers of people in their 20's getting the AZ shot as they just want this over and to be able to get on with their lives so well done them.
Mind you, anyone who's popped an ekkie or done any other party drugs has absolutely zero excuse for saying the AZ shot isn't safe.

So, for the avoidance of doubt, Andrews has given up on the Covid Zero approach and joined NSW in contain and vaccinate.

^What's the general consensus on the street on that choice now?
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Figured it was easier to get AZ rather than wait for Pfizer. He had his 1st dose just before the latest round of Pfizer bookings, which he was not guaranteed to get anyway due to the large no. of people trying to book.
And LoL at the people who also take steroids, fill themselves with Botox & fillers but vaccination is bad.
