i agree, its more like the good people are doing the right thing and staying home, and the selfish lawbraking aresholes are not and are spreading it around

nah, the innocent one who are doing the right thing are being punished by the selfish ones who don't care and continue to do what they want..like attending Synagogues, or meeting up for father's day etc

Guilty and innocent, selfish and good, subjective assessments.

People are over it. I see increasing numbers of people barely feigning compliance.

Say what you want about Gladys roadmap out of lockdown, but it gives people hope and has achievable milestones. We need one too.

Yes we do. Laugh all we want to Sydneysiders at the beach today, that is exactly what will happen here. If the NWO think otherwise, then they aren't fit to manage this anymore.

It’s funny in a ‘mockdown’ Construction is closed as it’s seen to be a super spreading workplace

In a lockdown it’s free to operate because CFMEU and it’s responsible for a large cluster already and spreading the virus to areas that are otherwise Covid free.

It’s a shame Dan puts his own re-election campaign ahead of public health.

I don't want to reignite state wars, but my personal opinion is that Andrews and Co have never been fit to manage this. The only club he had in his bag was hard lockdown and wait til the virus went away.

This time, it hasn't worked.

His only plan B is to copy Gladys while trying hard to make it appear that he isn't copying Gladys.

Give it 4 weeks, NSW will be opening up and Vic will have more daily cases and no plan for re-opening.

They're stuffing up their response to the pandemic in NSW - but at least they've done something funny today (this from The Age's blog):
Former prime minister Tony Abbott has been fined $500 for allegedly failing to wear a mask as required by public health orders.

Mr Abbott was photographed this week by a member of the public in Manly who observed him talking to a friend at Fairy Bower near the main beach.

He was subsequently reported to NSW Police, who confirmed on Saturday the former prime minister had been issued with a fine.

“A 63-year-old man was issued a $500 Penalty Infringement Notice on Friday (10 September 2021), for failure to comply with wearing face covering directive,” police said in a statement.

Since the start of last summer, NSW has had 171 deaths and Victoria 4; NSW has had over 37,000 new cases and Victoria just 4,744. It's possible to prefer one political approach over the other but anyone who prefers the present NSW mismanagement of the disease is not paying sensible attention.

Both states are in lockdown, NSW know when they're getting out, Victorians don't.

But for 15 months Victorians had 5 lockdowns and NSW 0. NSW is in their second wave 15 months after Victoria who are in the midst of a 3rd wave that is on track to greatly outnumber their 2nd wave.

230+ days in lockdown and counting v about 60?

And for those in regional areas, regional NSW had 1 month long lockdown, Victorians just came out of their 7th...

It's interesting that people want to ignore the failures of the government previously because another state has had a second wave which apparently justifies Dans failures, yet no other state has had a third wave like Victorian is currently experiencing and it seems you just want to gloss over it and ignore it?

You keep pointing out NSW mismanagement yet Victoria's gold standard lockdown hard approach has had even less impact than NSW's slow and steady approach. 1800 cases ahead of NSW at the same point of their outbreak. Or if you want it to be one long outbreak, then you have to admit Dan $@&^# up big time letting people out of lockdown whilst mystery cases were still circulating?

Says the person who wants to ignore the biggest failures and pretend the current outbreak isn't growing at a rate faster than NSW did...

At the current rates NSW will be open and Victorians will have 1,500 cases a day and still locked down.

But luckily those construction sites will remain open, can't let ALP members sit at home, much better they be allowed to spread the virus statewide so everyone can be punished equally for a problem that should be contained to the ALP heartland in the west.

If you think is forgiven then I'm assuming you're rapt with the vaccine rollout? We can ignore anything that happened in the past and see it's going great guns now, well done ScoMo.
