And the conspiracy theorists.......really? I mean, I'm no fan of Andrews but anyone who genuinely thinks he's doing all this, bankrupting business and ruining lives just for a power trip need to seek medical help themselves. Fkn delusional. His so called "plan" out of lockdown should dispel any ideas that he's a great strategist
What in the Roadmap that Shows that Dan has no clue about this Strategy?

No one has the Right Answer about it as then everyone would be doing it.

Dan is just doing what he thinks is Best
People who think Jesus will protect them need to have a good hard look at some of the bible belt in the USA.

This is all bringing out the worst in many people. Those anti lockdown protesters were seriously violent. Some of them copped a beating from Police which at any other time may have raised eyebrows, but not this time IMHO. The bought it on themselves.
He just said one Church in the US had no one got Covid(Not Proof Of It) and that is why he Claims Jesus/God saves them

Interesting that the Vic 567 cases came from 50915 tests, the NSW 936 from 124,650 tests.

All things being equal, which they usually aren't, if Vic had tested the same number of people as NSW did and maintained the same infection rate we would have had 1388 daily cases.

No, I'm not.

There's a lot of variables in play, you can't assume a consistent infection rate across the board, it's just an interesting statistical point.

The other way to look at it is that NSW has a smaller % of positive tests than Vic.

What it suggests, is that Victoria's case numbers may not be going down any time soon whereas NSW seems to have turned the corner.

Time will tell in both cases.

That would be potentially correct if Victoria had a high positive rate with its cases but it doesn't. NSW is testing more people because it has lots of outbreaks across the entire state. Victoria doesn't, at the moment.

NSW's R(eff) is below 1. It has been for a while, now. Victoria's is just over 1 - but it is dramatically down from where it was.

Yes, but the R(eff) (or for those not up with the jargon, the number of people each positive case infects) is based on testing.

If there are unknown positive cases from untested people, that number could be higher.

Again, simple explanation fot those playing at home who may have missed it.

If the R(eff) no is 1, each case will infect 1 person, numbers stay stable.
Less than 1, cases go down
Greater than 1, cases go up but the increase depends on the R(eff)

Delta in the wild has a R(eff) of between 5-9. If each person infected 5-9 other people, you'd quickly have a rice on the chessboard scenario and we'd be in deep shit. To hold it to around 1 with so many cases is a great effort by both NSW and Victoria.
