That works on the current trajectory. It will take a few more days yet to see if the Construction lockdown impacts cases, although all the peanuts protesting in the CBD may yet supercharge the numbers.
My neighbour has a Scaffolding business, he's now home for the next week and a half at least, first time in 18 months he won't have been working 6 days a week. His missus may stab him before next week, the guy is constantly moving I reckon he has ADHD. I hear him leave for work usually before 6am every day and then he does work outside or plays with the kids after work, more energy than 3 normal people. Stuck at home with her and 2 kids...........

She's suitably happy and amazed that while a number of other children have tested positive, her child and her haven't, despite 4 days of exposure.
Day 13 test tomorrow.
I'm curious by the testing regime if you know, do they get regular tests or just at the start then day 13? I remember an earlier outbreak a lot of Day 13 positives were the reason for a spike, but is that because people don't get tested until day 13 or had no symptoms?
Also curious if they go to testing centres for Day 13 or do DHS visit them? Can't imagine DHS having the resources to do that though?
If you are deemed a close contact you isolate for 14 days and get tested straight away if symptomatic or have been to a tier 1 site. Day 13 test is to check you are negative and OK to leave iso. DHHS doesn't come to you for test, you can leave home for a test.
Reported yesterday: 766 new local cases and 0 cases acquired overseas.
- 40,957 vaccines administered
- 62,408 test results received
- Sadly, 4 people with COVID-19 have died
The Government says that there are now 6,666 active cases.
The 766 new cases is an all-time daily record for Victoria. The positive test rate was 1.23% yesterday, as it was on Tuesday (but then from a much lower number of tests). Two weeks ago, the positive test rate was half that.

What a disturbing number, I fully expect to see the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse riding through Melbourne and Andrews/Sutton trying to fine them for not wearing masks.

Congrats to Andrews and Sutton.
And found out today, Sydney gets out of lockdown 2 weeks before Melbourne. Not surprising when it takes longer than 2 weeks for Victorian exposure site information to get out, but it is extremely frustrating, especially when that phuckwit is up there blaming everyone else but his own people.
It's almost enough to make me vote for Matthew Guy.
