You sure? 7 day M.A. of deaths was 22 on Sept 4 2020, and 14 on September 29 2021.Pies4shaw wrote:The Australian death rate is at its highest since September 2020.What'sinaname wrote:The global death rate is now at its lowest level since Nov 2020.
Death as a proportion of cases is also way lower that Sept 2020.
Regardless, all we are being fed is fear. The world is opening up and after the initial spike, things seem to be settling down.

Who cares what the number was on 12 Sept? Why pick an arbitrary date?Pies4shaw wrote:^ The moving 7-day average of daily new cases in Australia was 8 on 12 September 2020.
Hang on for a fun Victorian figure, by the way:
Today's new case numbers are slightly delayed but will be available soon. Thanks for your patience.

I don't know how useful this "highlights" data is, but it may be of interest. This is from the ABC blog:
No presser in NSW, today. This is probably not connected: https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/ind ... 58we9.htmlVictorian Department of Health deputy secretary Naomi Bromley has just provided a breakdown of some of the state’s 1143 new cases.
Here’s what we know so far:
There are hundreds in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, including 243 in Hume, 83 in Whittlesea, 49 in Moreland, 21 in Darebin, and 24 in Yarra;
In the west, cases in areas including 55 in Melton, 54 in Wyndham, 70 in Brimbank, 23 in Hobsons Bay, and 37 in the Moonee Valley;
In the south east, there are 41 in Casey and 25 in Greater Dandenong;
In the east, there are 11 in Knox and nine in the Yarra Ranges;
Sixty-two in regional Victoria, including 12 in Mitchell (eight known close contacts), 12 in Shepparton (seven known contacts), and six in Moorabool.

my daughters house in in Truganina, right around the corner from a testing station, neither of us has seem more than maybe 20-30 people waiting, usually its about 5-10. the 2 times ive been tested i waited behind 2 people and then about 10. makes me wonder how many people are not getting tested. 2 of the **** protestors are in hospital, how many are not sick enough for hospital but infectious?
scary, i just dont trust everyone to do the right thing
