The CEO explained we don't have a choice, have to comply with the public orders, so no jab no work, stood down without pay.

Probably 8 different people out of over 100 on the call really worked up but could be more staying silent.

Wasn't expecting that level of passion and vitriol.
It’s crazy. Just had a convo with friend who is pissed her daughter got the jab. Her son refused to, he’s in and out of jobs at the best of times. He said he’s got a doctors appointment I said good he can get a proper explanation. She says he’s doing lots of research I said problem when you do research us you usually find what your looking for! But she’s changed her tube with the realisation that she will be stuck home while the vaccinated roam free!!

One thing I’m thankful for, my upbringing, or lack of it, means I’ll never be a follower!

Just had an all staff video call to let people know about the mandatory vaccine orders. There was a small number of very vocal, misinformed and angry people
We got an email sent to everyone quoting Fair Work who were saying mandatory vaccinations should not be an option except in high risk industries.

Funnily enough today we got an email about proper usage of the companies email distribution lists

Just got one from Coles City, basically a lot of their clients will insist on it, so if you want to keep working get jabbed, because they just don’t have time or man power to pick and choose jobs. Not to mention they are not silly enough to miss out on work! Roll em up boys! Oh wait they already did!

So apparently today we hit 80% of Australians over 16 having their first vaccination.

The good news with that is that we should be able to expect all of those to get the second one.

The bad news is we should expect to see Vaccination rates start to slow from now as we bump into the resistance

A lot of businesses are getting the front foot, they don’t want their site closed or have staff need to isolate. They want to able to operate and not not miss out on work when things open up.

It is interesting the way the unions said, no we don't support mandatory vaccinations but we won't say anything against it nor support our members against it either.

Even Fair Work said mandatory vaccinations should only be considered in certain circumstances and definitely did not support widespread mandatory vaccinations, be interesting to watch the swathe of cases making their way through them in 2 weeks time.

You'd really hope this is just a last ditch effort to scare more people into getting vaccinated, my work still hasn't any idea what they will be required to do as Andrews made the announcement last week, but the CHO has yet to actually put it officially and issue the health orders.

Yes, but that assumes that the numbers start going down by then.
not really. Anyone getting COVID now wont get it in 3 weeks when we open up more. It's better for us to spread out the infections than having a sudden spike.

David looking at the injuries coming out of those protest riots Id say the cops were the punching bags, but hey Eddie thinks that’s of the job!

Choice still remains, no one is getting lined up and forced into vaccination, but if you want to work or get out amongst others, get a jab!

The carry on is ridiculous, how many people world wide have had any of the vaccines? Stui can give you the risk stat, and comparative to the side affects of the virus, it’s the preferred risk from what survivors say. You now have three choices no matter your age. There are times in life you have to do something for the greater good and this is it, square in the face, do it for others, I know that’s a foreign concept for a lot of people. Clearly. If there is a medical reason why you can’t, such as juniors friend who is fighting non Hoskins disease and has major lung damage that is still being treated, you get a certified letter of exemption. Everyone else, man up!
