Collingwood president Mark Korda has fallen on his sword.
Foxfooty.com.au can reveal he has stepped down and the Magpies will announce it as soon as Thursday morning, with Korda telling those close to him he has arrived at the decision for the good of the club.

On October 15 the club will call for nominations and there will be an election to select the new board. Then the board will appoint the new president.
It’s understood Korda was not pushed by fellow directors and this was his own personal decision to take the heat out of a potentially volatile situation.

I'm assuming the election will go ahead as planned, but now there's 5 spots up for grabs:
1. Vacancy #1 (left by Korda)
2. Vacancy #2 (left by O'Donnell)
3. Murphy's spot
4. Holgate's spot
5. Wilson's spot
Only Sizer and Licuria are not up for re-election.
I would assume Browne and two others take 3 board spots, and Murphy and Holgate are re-elected.
Wilson will be ousted, and with him being ineligible I doubt he generates as much support as Murphy and Holgate.
The board will then vote on Browne to be the new President.

The Age reporting Korda has stepped down, but will remain on the board for the rest of his term which complicates matters further.
