Champions League Final 2022: Liverpool v Real Madrid
The Champions League Semi Final ties are now completed with Liverpool and Real Madrid advancing to the Champions League Final for 2022 marking a third time the two clubs will be facing off the final against each other. The two clubs previously played one another in a final back in 1981 and 2018.
Liverpool will be playing in their 10th Champions League Final and looking to win a 7th Champions League, which would put them equal 2nd with AC Milan with the most Champions League trophies. The club has previously won the competition in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005 and 2019.
Real Madrid will be looking to win a record 14th Champions League Final, which would re-cement their status as the "Kings of Europe". The club has previously won the competition in 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Jurgen Klopp is managing in his 4th CL final after previously winning the competition in 2019 with Liverpool. Carlo Ancelotti is also no stranger to success in Europe having previously won the competition on 3 occasions (2 with AC Milan and 1 with Real Madrid).

First time Milan and Inter have reached the SFs since 2007 and 2010 respectively when they won the whole competition.
Milan vs Inter in the SF is also 20 years after they played one another at the same point in the competition.
