They will roll us next week if we dish up the sort of crap we have over the last 2 weeks, no doubt. Two wins by less than 1 goal over bottom four teams is pretty awful to be honest. The Dons are flying right now and we need to get into gear quick smart.
I don't think we "dished up crap" this week. We laid 126 tackles. Essendon will not have an easy path to victory if we play like that.
Last round, Essendon defeated Brisbane (when Brisbane had to make 9 changes due to injuries/Covid. Their players out included: Harris Andrews, Daniel Rich, Jarrod Berry, Zorko).
Tonight they soundly defeated GC at Marvel.Cannot be mechanically compared with the win we had at Metricon, in very difficult conditions.
All I am saying is that our gears are not as low as you suggest, and Essendon's are not as high as you suggest.
No need to panic.
Yes, another danger game. But every game is a danger game (except against North Melbourne  )

Buckley: Thanks. Tell me a little bit more about your career mate.
OUCH.

That interchange was quite humorous/cringing. Earlier in the commentary, Bucks had made exactly the same comment as Hudson, ie that it was easy to judge from the loungeroom, but the conditions were extremely challenging.
The sycophantic Hudson was simply reiterating Bucks' previous comment to him, in a different context. Bucks then decided to take the opportunity to smash him. A bit sad, really.

On the commentary, it was unlistenable. The role obviously attracts narcissists who love the sound of their own voices, so they all talk far too much for starters. And none of them are potential Nobel prize winners, either, even though footy has led them to mistakenly believe otherwise. Add the shrill, exaggerated bogan accents of some of them, and it's like listening to Four 'n Twenty Pie ads for two hours. Good schtick for 30 seconds, but like nails on a chalkboard for any length of time beyond that.

Look mate, I will take any Collingwood win with joy irrespective of the margin. If you are a experienced Collingwood supporter you would know that all other clubs fire up against us because to them playing Collingwood is their grand final. During the pre season just about everyone including me had Collingwood finishing outside the Eight. Never been so happy to be wrong

Still have Collingwood beating Essendon
Essendon season is finished anyway
Collingwood to win
Maynard’s been fine, but Howe and Crisp can definitely improve

Not sad. Earlier pin-head Huddo took the opportunity to have a dig at Pendles for using Ginni's tactics in getting a high free, to which Bucks remined Huddo that he was a Geelong supporter and a bit rich coming from him inferring he's been supporting Selwood getting similar frees for 15yrs.
Pretty low-class by Huddo seeing it was Pendle's 350th. Nice way of showing respect. By the way, Huddo doubled-down and ran with the same Pendles free in his after-the-round analysis show with King and Montagna on Fox. Completely uncalled for. Then again we know they don't respect us. They hate us, make no mistake. Huddo is an annoying smart-arse and Bucks rightly put him in his place, and stood up for the club and Pendles. Onya Bucks.

Players like Tippa, Monfries, Selwood, Puopolo have been using this tactic of getting high frees for decades, and now that a Collingwood player is involved the AFL decides we can't have it. Except it seems only Ginni is now allowed to do it, but other players no problem...carry on. What a farce.

HUDDO is a annoying arrogant poisoned dwarf. Several yrs ago, on radio, the twerp wanted to run a poll with listeners, "Which is better, beating Collingwood by ten goals in a GF, or by five points ?". Even Brereton was appalled, said it was totally uncalled for stupid opinion poll, pretty crude ad cruel. Good on you, Dermie. :o :x

Today's commentators are like self-indulgent rappers spewing forth words in a torrent over the action. Back in the day the old boys were more like Cream singing 'Sunshine of Your Love', footy is the music, let it breathe.
Get back on top.

2 ripper moments in the match that made me sit up and go...wtf?

1. Bianco flat left-hand 20m handball to start a running chain through the middle that led to a shot-on-goal. Great vision, decision-making and skill execution that was Pendles-like. Didn't knoww Bianco had that in him.
Bianco's game surprised me. I'd give him another preseason to work on his athleticism, strength and explosiveness. Our new fitness guy knows what he's doing, and I'd back him in to get the athletic improvement out of Bianco that he needs.

2. 2nd-gamer Carmichael runs onto a loose ball deep in our backline next to the behind post, suddenly decides to rip a 50m bullet to our guy standing in the middle near our 50. Breath-taking in its ballsiness, but he pulled it off to perfection. It opened up the Crows through the middle and in 10seconds the ball was sailing through our goals, only for Johnson to be called for blocking (of course) and the goal cancelled. This kid could be a beauty with an AFL preseason or 2 under his belt.

True. While Bux and Huddo were arguing it out, at least Underwood had the sense to keep commentating on the game.
Mind you, Underwood is totally useless. When she opined how "sad it would be if Adelaide were to lose", she lost any claim to decency as a commentator. A biased bogan.

Spot on ptid. The commentators should take a leaf out of the commentary of the Premier League. In the PL, the commentators actually respect and revere the game and allow it to reveal itself without the need for continuous self-indulgent chatter. AFL commentators across the board are sadly more interested in self-promotion than providing informative commentary. It's actually amateurish and embarrassing.

Hudson is a vomit driven little man as it gravel voiced Underwood. Very happy to get the win. Bianco and Trey showed some good signs which is handy for the lesser known lads.
