You have to let that go. Others have the same misplaced sentiment, as understandable as it is, and are using it against Grundy.
These are professional athletes doing this in lieu of another career, who have already jumped through incredible hoops to get this far and are deeply versed in professional footballer speak. They are not Collingwood owned and have often never even grown up barracking for us, though even that doesn't matter where one's livelihood and future is concerned.
It is as it is. We don't expect anyone else including ourselves to stay in their jobs for a worse package in any other context on earth.
Our problem is that we have never been a destination club, hence we can't get people to stay slightly unders or attract the likes of Jeremy Cameron. That means haggling from anyone bites that bit more because we don't have a queue of replacements wanting in. Wrighty and McRae are slowly turning that ship, though.
