At the end of the day we need a couple of players like Henry. May have a great future and has potential but cant fit into our structure or work ethic apparently and are therefore great trade credit to get in some early picks. As I said earlier his camp are worried about Mcstay and Hill in our forward line yet thinks he's just going to fit right into Geelong's forward line? Think he's bee drinking too much of his own bath water and listenting to family tell him whats best. Yeah mate all the best, I look forward to seeing what geelong offer us.
On a side issue with Geelong how on earth do they keep affording to get players in by the eay, there must be something stinking down at the cattery.

Probably Bobby Hill if he gets here. Also unproven like Henry but Fly will at least love Hills defensive efforts.

Compare Henry and Hosk’s heat maps, and come back to me how Henry is a better wing link-man.

No one at the moment. Henry's lack of defensive pressure is keeping him out! His marking and goal kicking are great. For me, he has to work on that as it doesn't come naturally to him. The other forwards are all switched on for a team effort and you can't break that chemistry.

I don't think Henry has played on the wing so pretty hard to compare them. Henry may not be fit enough for that role. Fact of the matter Fly and co are still putting WHE ahead of Henry. I hope Henry has patients and works on his deficiencies, with his talents he will be back in the side.

Recent Tweet from PieSource
Ollie Henry was asked by the coaches to improve on his ground work and competitiveness.

Instead of knuckling down. He sulked.

Regardless of his “ability” or “potential”.

These types you have weed out. Pies will be compensated.

Credibility of Piesource not proven, but he has in the recent past been correct with his info.
As many have stated, a broken clock is correct twice per day. His source is no doubt Big Footy. It's always been speculated he wants to play with his Brother. Hasn't signed a contract so it's easy to make a guess. If he wants to play with his brother then I am all for it, just compensate us appropriately.

PieSource on twitter also said we were a lock to land Taranto.

I’m guessing we got cold feet when Taranto asked for a 7 year multimillion deal. ;)
previous club admin would have traded Grundy to make salary cap room for a 7 year mega deal with Taranto

As much as I like Henry and acknowledge his raw talent, you only need to look back a couple of years to Sier to realise that talent alone will NOT be enough to have a long career.
Raw talent will get him at least four years in the AFL, but if he doesn’t significantly improve his defensive efforts and output his career will go down the same path as Sier…..wasted opportunity!!!

I suggest that the AFL change the rules so that if you have the option and select a player that has brothers/sisters, you get the option of the first choice of their siblings if they want to play at the same club. Look at for example the Daicos, Browns, and McCartin's. They all want to play together and love playing together. Sure it may work and sure as it may not. The family should be able to play together.

Selecting Henry was a risk, and the club knew it. I am sure the club put into their calculations (risk management) that if he wanted out to play alongside his Brother then they could still get something for him and the Cats know they have to give something to get him. I want players that want to be at my club, not that want to be elsewhere. Cool heads will prevail and it will be done with a minimum of fuss.

I reckon we could find a spot for Brandon Parfitt ( as in not in their best 22 ) but I think we will end up taking the pick and putting the savings aside from Ollies contract into other areas.
